This is where I landed, 6.5/10.

Having the RE label hindered it because nothing in it is RE related outside of Raccoon City and Umbrella being mentioned once or twice, both of which dont matter in the slightest. You can tell it was written without RE in mind, then the label thrown on it for whatever reason.

The ending would have been fine if it wasnt so slapsticky with less humorous dialogue/acting.

It was a fun time at the movies, but yeah, fans are gonna have to wait another few years before another attempt (if we get one).

Resident Evil 2026

The fan base was right. It had little to do with Resident Evil, and the bits that did played no role in the film whatsoever. This was a movie written without RE in mind and the label thrown on it to generate buzz...maybe it had to do with keeping the movie rights? I dont know...

It wasnt bad...had some fun moments, gory body horror, and some cool camera work, but way too much humour, especially with character interactions/dialogue. If I had to attach it to any existing IPs, it was more of a cross between The Thing and The Forest with OG Evil Dead slapstick.

Not sure why the choice was made to give it the Resident Evil title, but whatever...fans will have to wait another 5-10 years for another go at a worthwhile adaptation.

Go check it though, you'll have fun.

Youre relying on even more third parties for translation, and these are modern fans who even admitted to minor changes to better fit the remake universe.

Its an incredible feat for sure, and I look forward to playing it for the extra content they restored, but I wont be taking any tone shifts seriously or as canon.

Saying hes like a teenager when comparing his species to humans is meaningless. That kind of comparison is only shows his life-span to that of a human. Longevity does not mean maturity. It doesnt support him being a spazzy little kid because again hes 48. That's 5 decades of life and experiences (the last few years of which he was being experimented on by a mad scientist).

These people are coping hard for a game thats a complete train wreck. I dont get why people simp for these studios when the studios continously shit all over beloved franchises/games.

Thats part of the reason for Trumps actions absolutely (and rightly). The last offer tho was great for Canada for trade terms, almost everything got cut in half, some removed, and the US asked for...dairy.

Everybody was happy with it, shook hands, Trump announced it, then Carney came out and said Trump hates the French and he wont force private businesses to pay us more tax revenue or distribute bullshit French shows, no deal.
