If these cars remember you, they’re very ruthless when draining your finances. They have the audacity of breaking down / disgracing you 3 days out of 7 days consistently.
Two weeks ago, my neighbour drove in with a Nissan Murano without plate numbers and parked it in front of his apartment.
That evening, I came out to my balcony upstairs to enjoy some fresh air. He came out to open his car door, looking like he wanted to drive out, so I hailed him and said, “Oga, you never wash this car for me o. Make I gum you small.” 😂
He told me to tag along. Omo, I quickly wore my clothes and ran downstairs to meet him.
We went to a nearby bar to drink beer and eat catfish pepper soup. On our way back, the car started jerking anytime he accelerated. By the time we got close to the gate, the engine went off completely.
We thought it was either the battery or that fuel had finished. Besides, we were already tipsy and had no strength to start troubleshooting that night. So, the guy, myself and the gateman struggled to push the car into the compound.
To show that I appreciated the beer and pepper soup, I went to check on him the following morning to find out if he had fixed the problem.
We even used my car to go and buy fuel. We poured it into the Murano, but the car still refused to start. I then used my battery to jump start it, but nothing happened.
At that point, I advised him to get a mechanic.
At least, I had worked for the pepper soup he bought for me. 😂
Later, I noticed that different mechanics were coming to work on the car almost every day. Curiosity finally got the better of me, so I asked him how serious the problem was.
Omo, na there story enter another level!
He confessed that a woman had given him money to buy a Nissan Pathfinder for her, but by the time he went to make the purchase, the Pathfinder had already been sold.
Instead of informing the woman, he decided to buy the Murano without her consent, intending to deliver it to her and give her the balance afterward.
Unfortunately, the car developed problems, and he had almost exhausted the balance on repairs.
In my mind, I wanted to ask him, “Oga, abeg, was the money we used to buy beer and pepper soup also part of the woman’s balance?”
Since that day, I have stopped taking the fresh air I take on my balcony. I have also told the gateman that if he notices anything that looks like police activity around the compound, he should alert me immediately.
Abeg, I no get strength to become an eyewitness for anybody ontop police matter this period.
B is the best. It’s less stressful and has a very low cost of maintenance. Every output here is money.
If you no guide, “A” will not just stress you but drain your pockets while navigating through pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and other liquid fertilizers.

If you had the opportunity to venture into cash crop farming, but had to choose just one, which would you go for?
A. Cocoa farming
B. Oil palm farming
Which is your choice? 👇
Poultry… Local birds actually. Then add like 3 male WAD goats for fattening.
My LGA, holds almost all festivals during December/ January.
Not to mention burials rites that would take place same period.
Someone loans you ₦500,000, access to land with steady water supply & you can only invest in one of these,
A. Poultry
B. Pepper farming
C. Catfish
D. Farm input selling.
Which one are you choosing, and what is your strategy for making profit?
@Optimismking@hustle4lif The suckers have been cut off several times and it keeps re-growing. This time around, it has gotten to its production stage, rather than trying to grow again, it converted the energy into fruiting. That’s the reason for the poor bunch yield.
While we’re talking about tomatoes, have you seen this ancient breed popularly called the “snake tomato” cause of its length and shape ???
Frame 4, are the extracted seeds.
Someone i know wanted to "Patronize" me last weekend , he is a Newbie farmer! So he asked about the price i sell the products he wanted, i gave him my best fair price because of our relationship. He said he will make payments today being Monday so that i can send it to him.
If you don’t want to chop it, you squeeze out the juice and drink.
If you don’t want to squeeze out the juice, you boil it with 1 or 2 cups of water and drink.
If you don’t want to do any of these, just add 7-9 alligator pepper seeds to the fresh leaf and chew.
If e reach stage 3... Chop this leaf.
If you no want am to reach stage 3... Chop this leaf.
If you no won get Catarrh at all... Chop this leaf.
T for thanks 👍
I just found the plantain variety I’ve been searching for for years.
This morning, a friend sent me a video of the plantain he harvested from his backyard.
The moment I saw it…
I froze.
I immediately knew it was the French Giant variety.
I’ve been searching for this particular variety for a long time I even reached out to a Cameroon farmer that I know to see if he have it
I was ready to pay any amount to have it shipped then
But most of the ones I’ve come across were either hybrids or varieties I wasn’t confident will do well under Nigerian conditions.
I didn’t even bother typing or chatting with my guy oh
I called him on a video call straight up .
I told him,
“You’re joking right ?
where did you get this plantain from?
Then he turned the camera around.
He showed me the mother plant.
He showed me the suckers.
That’s when I knew this was real.
I told him:
“You have no idea what you’re sitting on.”
Now we’ve got a new project on our hand for this month.
We’re going to clone the mother plant and mass-produce the suckers for large-scale planting.
If this variety performs the way I believe it can…
It will completely change the way I approach plantain farming.
Here’s what got me excited the most
This single bunch had 146 fingers when we counted them.
For comparison, the popular Elephant Giant variety usually produce around 20–25 fingers on a good bunch.
That’s why I’m so excited.
The plan now is to multiply the suckers
Plant it
Document everything.
This might end up being one of the biggest discoveries we’ve made on the farm
This particular specie produces dual bunches per plantain plant. But, if you want heavier bunches, you prune it early. This forces it to produce just 1 bunch and it’s usually bigger than both bunches combined.
