I'm from France and I now live in Israel. I'll write some thoughts about events in Israel, in France and in the world, mostly in Hebrew, French and English.
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.

On Rosh Hashana, tradition says our names are written in a book.
I spend my days finding names written in other books: registers in Krakow, Würzburg, Debrecen, Paris, London, Jerusalem... They are waiting to be read.
Shana Tova to you and to your family. 🍎🍯

In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. Today I parted company with Tony Pontius who has run my record label BGP for a number of years. I wanted to release 'We Will Dance Again' but he was unequivocal and said 'I want nothing to do with this song' and I responded 'ok, we are done'.
When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win.
I will release it!
Mayor Mamdani did not simply express a personal political opinion. He used the authority, symbolism, and credibility of the mayor’s office to issue what amounted to an official public address declaring that the democratically elected leader of the world’s only Jewish state is a ‘war criminal’ who is ‘not welcome in New York City.’ That is a profound misuse of the office entrusted to him by all New Yorkers.
After acknowledging that New York City has no independent legal authority to execute the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant, the mayor nevertheless chose to transform that legal reality into a televised political spectacle. Respect for the separation of powers and the legal limits of public office is a bedrock of American democracy; those limits should not be treated as an inconvenience to be exploited for political theater.
Perhaps most telling was what the mayor chose to leave out. His address made no mention of Hamas or the October 7 massacre of innocent civilians. Instead, he delivered a sweeping moral indictment of Israel while erasing the terrorist atrocities that ignited this war. Appeals to universal humanity and justice ring hollow when they exclude the victims whose suffering does not fit a preferred political narrative.
This is no longer simply about Prime Minister Netanyahu. It reflects a broader pattern in which Mayor Mamdani repeatedly singles out Israel while using the prestige of his office to legitimize rhetoric that further isolates the Jewish state and deepens division here at home. At a time when Jewish New Yorkers are experiencing alarming levels of antisemitism, harassment and intimidation, they deserve a mayor who refrains from fomenting hatred against the world’s only Jewish country while maintaining the fiction that this is not anti-Jewish.
Throughout his campaign, Mayor Mamdani repeatedly insisted that his responsibility as mayor would be to focus on New York City and the issues affecting New Yorkers. New Yorkers elected him to make their neighborhoods safer, combat hate and unite a diverse city, not to conduct foreign policy or transform City Hall into a stage for ideological declarations about world leaders.
New Yorkers elected a mayor, not a prosecutor of foreign leaders. Mayor Mamdani should spend less time trying to demonize only one leader and one country from City Hall and more time protecting the New Yorkers he was elected to serve.

Oh boy, things are escalating quickly.
Vance: “My message to people in Bibi's government who are attacking Trump: Do not attack the only leader in the world who supports you. Your country was built with our money.”
No, Mr. Vice President, our country wasn’t built with your money and as a Christian, you should know exactly who gave us this country.
We appreciate your friendship and support but we will not take orders from you or anyone else about how we defend ourselves from the enemies you are now funding with hundreds of billions that’ll go straight to weapons directed at Israel.
Let’s not be confused, Mr. Vance.
Disparition totale de toute hiérarchie morale.
Des organisations israéliennes mises en parallèle avec les terroristes du Hamas responsables du 7 octobre, et même citées avant eux..
Following the antisemitic stabbing of two Jewish people on the streets of Golders Green this morning, words of condemnation are no longer sufficient. This must be a moment that demands meaningful action from every institution, every community, every leader, and every decent person in our country. This is a hatred that we must face down together.
Why do leaders of the Greens have such difficulty naming the particular demographic likely to be most ‘shaken’ and ‘affected’ by two men from their community having their throats cut on a London street?

“W’re defending Europe. Europe has forgotten so many things since the Holocaust. Europe forgot the distinction between good and evil. It is afflicted with deep moral weakness and is losing control over its identity”

Dear @elonmusk,
It's profoundly unfair that islamic regime officials get to enjoy their social media accounts while there is a 44 day long internet blackout imposed on 90 million Iranians.
Please consider suspending all official islamic regime state X accounts.
.@Keir_Starmer@EmmanuelMacron@MarkJCarney@sanchezcastejon@AlboMP Why did you just join in the obscene decision to nominate the Islamic Republic of Iran to a U.N. committee that shapes policy on women's rights, human rights, disarmament, and terrorism prevention? Have you no shame?
@EmmanuelMacron As President of France, you should not spread disinformation. In 10 minutes, Israel executed a precision strike simultaneously hitting multiple Hezbollah missile and command infrastructure targets. The opposite of “indiscriminate strikes.”
