STATEMENT BY THE EMBASSY OF CUBA IN THE UNITED STATES

The series of articles published by Fox News since May 21, referring to an alleged activity by the Cuban Embassy in the United States and its officials that interferes in the internal affairs of this country, or poses a threat, are completely unfounded and are part of a smear campaign promoted by the U.S. government.

The Cuban Embassy and all its officials strictly adhere to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations in the performance of their duties and in their activities. They also respect the laws and regulations of the United States.

The affection for Cuba felt by millions of Americans and the opposition of many of them to their government’s ongoing aggression, and even to the military threat, against Cuba, are being subjected to intimidation through these baseless and totally unjustified accusations.
