@AfroTorque@withAlvin__ You're right. It's her own fault for going to a primitive land full of animals and expecting to be treated like a human. Can't go to shit holes like that and expect humanity.
@hillstrand0 @GaZWestsFan @9_Moley@NZWarriors My position is not that I believe it's going to take off, simply that there is no issue with exposing our game to the rest of the world in the entertainment capital of the world. NRL hasn't even captured the entirety of Australia - that was never the point I was making.
@GaZWestsFan @9_Moley@NZWarriors You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Nothing to lose trying to expose the game to a country obsessed with the NFL. Even if it's just to showcase the sport we love to the other parts of the world.
@goodreads None that I can think of, but if anybody wants one: Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. This tweet is your sign to buy, borrow, or steal a copy. Take my word for it, no need to thank me later…
@MayoMayo95901 @goodreads@IrvineWelsh Absolutely! My two favourite stories also. Granton Star being my favourite. I also love the novella, A Smart C**t
@goodreads I browse bookish communities on social media, searching random posts for books I’ve never heard of; checking the comments to see other readers opinions, and if one takes my fancy I’ll start reading it immediately whilst my TBR pile looks on with dust-covered loathing…
@CowboyJamboree@BarbaraByar I actually recently put in the subreddit 'r/suggestmeabook' for any stories set predominantly in roadside motels because of my weird fascination with roadside motels; unfortunately only got a couple of responses. This absolute just made my day.
@wmboyle4 Love when my favourite authors list books I haven't read, especially when written into novels. I have watched movies and added music to my playlist thanks to you @wmboyle4 - Shoot the Moonlight Out being a favourite novel and now song. Jesus' Son and Ask the Dust *chef's kiss*
