As a leading voice in the global fight against Islamophobia, Pakistan looks forward to continue working with the international community to promote tolerance, harmony, and mutual respect among all religions and cultures.

Pakistan and the European Union held their ninth Counter-Terrorism Dialogue in Brussels, on 20 February 2025. Pakistan delegation was led by the Director General for Counter Terrorism at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Hameed, and the EU side was led by Director for Security and Defence Policy at the European External Action Service, Maciej Stadejek.

The two delegations:
• Discussed cooperation on counter-terrorism.
• ⁠Condemned terrorism in all its forms and reaffirmed their commitment to fight it.
• ⁠Exchanged views on regional and global challenges, including situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East.
• ⁠Emphasized the importance of strong cooperation in multilateral fora including the United Nations and the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum.
• ⁠Discussed cooperation in multifaceted areas including common actions on prevention and countering of violent extremism; recruitment and movement of foreign fighters; offline and online radicalization; combating terrorism financing.
