Pleased to meet with H.E. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, today in Cairo.

Conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

During our discussions, we thoroughly reviewed key issues related to the further development of the comprehensive partnership between #Uzbekistan and #Egypt and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation.

Special attention was devoted to elevating trade, economic, and investment cooperation to a new level, expanding industrial collaboration, developing transport and logistics connectivity, and implementing joint projects. Exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian, educational, and religious-enlightenment spheres, with the aim of further enriching the bonds of friendship between our peoples.

Also discussed pressing regional and international issues. Emphasized that Uzbekistan highly appreciates Egypt’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East and its commitment to resolving conflicts through political and diplomatic means.

During our meeting with H.E. Murad Hanifi, Minister of Mining of Algeria, we held detailed discussions on prospects for cooperation in the field of mineral resources.

#Uzbekistan and #Algeria possess significant potential in natural resources, geological exploration, and the development of the mining industry. In this regard, we view this sector as one of the new drivers of bilateral cooperation.

Exchanged views on conducting joint geological exploration activities, developing promising mineral deposits, establishing joint ventures, processing mineral resources with greater depth, and producing high value-added products.

Our meeting with H.E. Kamel Rezig, Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria, provided an opportunity to bring new substance to the agenda of economic cooperation between our countries.

We are confident that the economies of Uzbekistan and Algeria possess significant complementary advantages. Our countries play an important role in strengthening ties between Central Asia and Africa.

Discussed increasing bilateral trade, developing new logistics corridors, promoting direct business-to-business contacts, implementing joint investment projects, and expanding industrial cooperation.

Also put forward proposals to launch an Intergovernmental Joint Commission, establish a Business Council, organize a “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition in Algiers, and create new opportunities for entrepreneurs from both countries.

Explored ways to elevate Uzbekistan–Algeria relations to a new level. We exchanged views on enhancing political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.

Also discussed current regional and international issues, as well as prospects for cooperation within international organizations.

Highly appreciate the strong commitment of the Algerian leadership to advancing relations with Uzbekistan. Today in Algiers, we held sincere and productive talks with H.E. @AhmedAttaf_Dz, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

During our discussions in both narrow and expanded formats, we thoroughly reviewed ways to intensify political dialogue, expand trade, economic and investment cooperation, and strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Algeria.

Highly value Algeria as an important and promising partner on the African continent. There remains significant untapped potential in our bilateral relations. We support enriching our historic friendship with practical partnership, establishing regular high-level contacts, and expanding joint projects.

Particular attention was also paid to cooperation within international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement, the United Nations, and other multilateral platforms, as well as to issues of mutual support.

Exchanged views on current regional and international developments, with particular attention to the evolving situation in the Middle East. Emphasized the importance of restraint, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement in ensuring stability and preventing further escalation.

In Vienna, I met with @Monica_Juma_ , UN Under-Secretary-General and newly appointed head of @UNODC.

We discussed cooperation with #Uzbekistan in countering drug-related threats and follow-up work after the Samarkand Forum.

A big thanks to Ms. Juma for supporting Uzbekistan’s side event on protecting women, children, and youth at #CCPCJ35 @UN Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Commission.

At the Austrian Parliament, I met with Markus Stotter, President of the Federal Council of Austria, and Walter Rosenkranz, President of the National Council of Austria.

We exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations, as well as opportunities to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

We also discussed the reforms underway in #Uzbekistan, including democratic development and the modernisation of public administration.

Particular attention was given to #Uzbekistan’s initiatives in the areas of gender equality, youth policy, cybersecurity, green development, environmental sustainability, and regional cooperation. We emphasized the importance of further expanding practical partnership with the OSCE.

An important part of our meeting focused on the emergence of a new atmosphere in #Central_Asia based on good-neighborliness and mutual trust.

Also reviewed pressing issues on the global and regional agenda. Underscored that all conflicts and disputes should be resolved exclusively through diplomacy, dialogue, and in accordance with international law.

Discussed promising avenues for further expanding the strategic partnership between 🇺🇿🤝🇶🇦, including cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, investment, finance, transport and logistics, energy, and infrastructure.

Emphasized the importance of fully utilizing the existing vast potential, deepening investment cooperation, and accelerating the implementation of joint projects.

Also invited the Qatari side to actively participate in the 5th #Tashkent_International_Investment_Forum, which will take place in #Tashkent this June.
