@WigglyTough_ See it as a sacrifice. Somebody gotta play the original just as the remake releases. It's the law of the universe.
On a totally unrelated note, may I recommend Myst III: Exile? No reason. Good game. Bit old. A little outdated.
(On a serious note though, ouch ;_;)
I love seeing the mid-progress of media so I'm really happy I got to contribute this blocktober ^^ I hope this has been enjoyable for people.
And it's a reminder to myself to take more in-progress shots. They're handy for all manner of situations.
Thanks for reading all our tweets for #Blocktober - or maybe just this one! There’s a lot to discover in the Spaceport so if you ever come for a visit, make sure to explore every nook and cranny! And if there’s any other questions, we don’t mind delving deeper.
Another highlight of the Spaceport in @rebotsgame, the alley behind the cantina! It’s hard to show it properly in photos so we recommend visiting in-game. It was a delight to design, especially adding details like the forest and clotheslines.

For one of the highlights, the underground market of the Spaceport in @rebotsgame! This is where all the business-savvy imps hang out and there’s paths to both the Rebots Office and Parking Lot. At the start there’s not much to do, but Dysko might have some ideas.

When the base design of the Spaceport was finally in place for @rebotsgame it was time for working on details.
Blockouts got proper art, more NPCs were added, problems got smoothed over. This stage is satisfying in any creative work, getting to make it look good.

This was the initial chosen design for the Spaceport in @rebotsgame. Looking back, it wasn’t bad at all, but the design just didn’t work. In the end this one got scrapped and a new one was made from scratch, which turned into the final spaceport.

One challenge was how to playtest the Spaceport in @rebotsgame. Can’t just drop a player in there and ask them to look around, there’ll be no purpose. So, we hid a bunch of cats around the level and tasked the player with finding them, studying their movement. #Blocktober
It took a lot of experimentation to get the navigation right, especially since we put a focus on verticality. It’s fun to see what survived in @rebotsgame - that first blockout is a sore sight but the middle market area? Made it all the way through. #Blocktober
We're showing off the spaceport I designed for @rebotsgame! This map was an important learning experience for me and I'm really happy with the final design. If you wanna see more there'll be updates every other weekday until the end of October ^^
For #Blocktober we’d like to share the design process behind the Spaceport in @rebotsgame. This is the main hub of the game, and it needed a revamp. All the in-between versions are saved so let’s go through them! There’ll be an update every other weekday.
Hey folks, let’s talk about the climate and @rebotsgame and @FlatPonies. I owe a lot of you some fresh news ;-) #SkiJump from @VRUnicorns is in its final development and we have been working on a few flat games as well (or 3).
They knocked it out of the park with the Splatfest decorations. Best thing is how it retains the same magic the event had back in Splatoon 1 - I feel just as excited as I did the first time. Can't recommend this franchise enough, it's ridiculously fun.
