The best collabs I ever did helped me meet some of my favorite people so far.
I met @FrZZiE_ who has been through many ups and downs with me.
I met @DaddyDeci_ who I know understands when either of us fails to message the other.
I met @MystixForest92 who has been one of the nicest people I’ve collabed with.
I met a friend who sadly graduated from this space but we still talk.
Through these people I met so many kind and awesome people and I’m so happy they did a collab with me.
Hi vtubers! I know we been sharing bad collab experiences, but I’d love to see more positivity on my feed.
Could you share with me the best collabs you’ve experienced?
As someone who was in this same spot six months ago…. I got emotelab, customizable model, some free assets, backgrounds, etc that just fit my theme. I changed my name and then I worked on it for two months with retexturing and dropped it all on a day that I felt I was ready.
It’s such a horrible place to be when you see what you want but it’s just out of reach…. But you also know you can’t go back either.
It doesn’t have to be everything or custom it just has to make you feel free and happy again. Just take your time and you can do it!
@BerriAquarius I figured that's what happens with most people which is a great habit to have. I just wasn't sure also because I see some people ignore the other person chat completely.
Collab Hot Topic Question:
As I read all the collab horror stories, I keep seeing people talk about streamers not muting themselves to talk to their own chat or when they get raided. I have a serious question.
What about when you have a Shared Chat?
I know Shared Chat hasn't been around very long, so I genuinely don't know what the community considers proper etiquette here.
To me.... Shared Chat changes the dynamic a bit. It feels less like two separate streams running side by side.... I think of it as one big garden that we're both taking care of together. Where new people are talking to each other, meeting new friends, hyping each other up, and enjoying the stream.
It even shows when the other creator gets raided, gets gifted subs, or has something exciting happen. That's part of why I wonder if the expectations should be different.
In my past Shared Chat collabs.... I usually take a moment to welcome the raiders, introduce myself, introduce the creator I'm streaming with, and tell people why they're awesome and worth checking out.
Maybe I'm looking at it differently, but if we're doing a Shared Chat collab, I don't really see your viewers and my viewers. I see our viewers for that stream.
So... I'm curious:
Do you think Shared Chat changes collab etiquette at all or should the same rules still apply?
I'd love to hear how other creators handle it.
Also, does the size of the Shared Chat matter?
I know that if it's just two creators and 20 people total.... that feels very different from 4 creators sharing a chat with hundreds of viewers.
Does the etiquette change as the Shared Chat gets bigger?

I’ve had a lot of good collabs….. but one will always sit with me because of how bad it made me feel.
Two of the people out of three made me feel like I was unwanted and kept excluding me from things or they wouldn’t talking to me and kept saying how they wished this other person was there.
It was a very humbling collab experience. I walked away from that collab with only one person who I still love to collab with and never wanting that experience again.
Do you guys have any bad collab experiences?
My worst one was a couple years ago with a VTuber. We were supposed to play Valorant together, but something came up on their end. They canceled less than an hour before we were scheduled to go live. I get that emergencies happen, so I reached out to reschedule… and got completely ghosted. A short while later, they even unfollowed me.
We had similar-sized audiences, so it wasn’t like I was a nobody to them. I was just left hanging with nothing. I hope they were okay, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.
@snommot_vt I’ve had this happen twice. One was a person calling me out and being like it’s nice to see you here…. I didn’t even do anything yet.
The other was their bot and it automatically called you out the moment you joined the stream.
Commands and channel point lurks are okay.
New faces have been finding me lately... so, hello! 🧡
