From @JohnReformUK Today, at Kent Fire and Rescue Service HQ, I voted alongside my Reform UK colleagues to reject the proposed station closures and changes to night-time cover.

The proposals were overwhelmingly voted down.

I could not support a package that would have reduced frontline fire cover in parts of Kent and Medway.

We stood with our front-line firefighters and with residents across Kent and Medway.

Public safety must come first.
