At convocation this weekend Yale awarded me the Sylvia Ardyn Boone Prize for my dissertation. Named after the first Black woman to receive tenure at Yale, the prize is awarded to the "best written work by a Yale student on African or African-American art." I'm beaming with pride!
Save the date!
365 days left for this exciting symposium I am convening on “Tourism and slavery heritage: geographies of cultural productions, cultural memory and commemoration” as part of my @NWO_SSH Veni project. 🧵
