Through your teachings, many have found language for their destinies. Through your support and prayers, many have found the strength to keep believing. Through your example, many have discovered that intimacy with God is not a myth, but a possibility.

The most valuable lesson I learned from the CEO of PepsiCo is something I apply in every coaching session to this day.

Roger Enrico served in one of the most competitive, globally demanding leadership roles: Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo.

The title. The results. The legacy. The respect of an entire industry.

He had it all. And yet he chose to do the inner work.
That one decision taught me something I have never forgotten.

The leaders who reach the highest levels do not stop feeling the pull toward growth. They feel it more intensely than anyone. Because they understand, at a depth that only experience produces, that what got them to the summit of one mountain is not what will take them to the next one.

Law 2 asks a question that sounds simple until you sit with it honestly.

Do you feel the pleasure?

Not the intellectual satisfaction of a good plan. The genuine emotional energy that ignites something in you when you imagine your next level of growth fully.

Here is what I notice in almost every early coaching session. When I ask leaders about their next goal, they answer from their head: the next initiative, the next milestone, the next target.

Then I ask how it makes them feel. And there is a pause that tells me everything.

Without that genuine feeling, the energy to pursue a vision through resistance, setbacks, and the long middle where nobody is watching cannot be sustained.

Strategy alone does not carry you through those stretches. Inner-core alignment does.

Roger Enrico understood this, and he refused to pursue a vision his head endorsed but his inner core did not feel.

That is the most consistent characteristic I have seen in leaders who build legacies that outlast them.

What genuinely ignites you about where you are trying to grow right now, not what you think should ignite you, but what actually does?

P.S. Law 3 is next: Do You Know Your Pain? Most leaders think they do. Very few have looked closely enough.

Not because he trained less, but because he hadn’t led himself with authenticity.

Lead with purpose.
Lead with authenticity.
Lead with empathy.

That’s the leadership that actually matters.
