@FinPlanKaluAja1 It's bad PR for CBN to do 3 devaluation in 12 months so packaging the story differently helps reduce the pressure on them. If CBN think oil will push the FX earnings higher later in the year then a temporary FX rate adjustment which can be reversed later is not such a bad idea

@FinPlanKaluAja1 Of course I do. If a currency can be exchanged officially for 380 + 5, then its real price is N385 in the official market. Its like CBN saying convert your dollar and get N55 extra instead of saying we have devalued from N305 to N360. It's intentional communication deception

@ugodre Lol this is such an easy problem to solve. Get a battery that weights lighter than the fuel weight required. Add surplus non-functional equipment to balance the weight. And your plane is in the sky with no hassle. Innovation doesn't take years, it takes one guy with a great idea

@FinPlanKaluAja1 It's a genius marketing story about running a promotion and deflecting people from the real devaluation conversation. We are busy talking about sustaining a promotion that's an invented BS by the govt. There will be more money to defend NGN at 380 later but not now.

@FinPlanKaluAja1 The analysis is great but you're looking at it the wrong way because of how CBN has presented their story. CBN technically devalued NGN to 385 but the devaluation is only temporal as they believe the oil price rally will make accomodating a 380 exchange easier later but not now
