I was pleased to receive Her Excellency, Major (Rtd) Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, who paid a courtesy call on me at the Munhumutapa Building following her arrival in Harare.
Vice President Alupo is in Zimbabwe representing my brother, His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who is the current Chairperson of the African Peer Review Forum of Heads of State and Government.
During our discussions, we reaffirmed the deep-rooted bilateral relations and shared Pan-African values between Zimbabwe and Uganda. Her presence is a testament to our continent's collective commitment to self-assessment and African solutions to African challenges.
Tomorrow, July 16, 2026, we will officially launch Zimbabwe’s Review Report of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) at the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden. This landmark event marks a significant milestone in our country’s governance trajectory, policy innovations, and socio-economic reforms under the Second Republic.
This morning, it was an honor and a privilege to welcome His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini of AmaZulu, along with his esteemed royal delegation and traditional leaders from South Africa, to State House in Harare.
Our meeting reinforces the deep, historical, and unbreakable cultural bonds that unite the people of Zimbabwe and South Africa. Traditional leadership remains a cornerstone of our African identity, preserving our rich heritage and guiding our communities toward peace and unity.
Zimbabwe continues to open its doors to our regional brothers and sisters as we strengthen these foundational ties. We look forward to continued collaboration, mutual respect, and shared prosperity between our nations.
As part of our clear and unwavering mandate to drive high-impact foreign direct investment into Zimbabwe, I had the distinct privilege of holding a high-level strategic meeting with UAE billionaire tycoon Hussain Sajwani , the Founder and Chairman of DAMAC Properties and the DAMAC Group.
Mr. Sajwani is widely recognized as a foundational architect of the Middle East’s luxury real estate landscape, famously pioneering the concept of "branded residences" globally alongside titans like Versace, Fendi, and Bugatti. Beyond his multi-billion dollar master-planned communities, his current aggressive expansion into global digital infrastructure, including a massive $20 Billion pivot into data centers via Edgnex, presents an extraordinary blueprint for modernization.
During our meeting, I presented the immense, untapped investment horizons currently unfolding across Zimbabwe. Our discussions targeted critical synergies in smart-city infrastructure, luxury tourism development, and the vital digitalization of our economy.
Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the Second Republic is not just declaring that "Zimbabwe is Open for Business", we are actively building the bridges to prove it. By aligning with global market leaders of Mr. Sajwani’s caliber, we are accelerating our journey toward achieving a prosperous and empowered upper-middle-income society by 2030.

Today I had the honour of addressing the Manicaland Provincial Assembly of Chiefs Indaba held at Golden Peacock Hotel, Sakubva, Mutare.
The Indaba brought together Chiefs from across Manicaland Province, and the national delegation.
In my welcome remarks, I emphasized that His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa commends the pivotal role that Chiefs are executing for the country in driving community development. As custodians of culture and community, Chiefs are at the forefront of conflict resolution, they are instrumental in mobilizing communities for national programs, and the preservation of our customs and traditions. I also acknowledge the vital role of Chiefs in safeguarding the nation’s cultural heritage and advancing the national development agenda across Zimbabwe.
Government continues to rely on Traditional leaders to promote peace, unity and inclusive development in line with Vision 2030.
The National Vision can only be fully realized through a united partnership between Government and Traditional leadership.
The Indaba was officially opened by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Hon. Daniel Garwe, whose speech was read on his behalf by Deputy Minister Albert Mavunga.

JOHANE THE FIFTH OF AFRICA 2026 ANNUAL CONFERENCE UNDERWAY
Powerful scenes from the Mvuma Shrine in the Midlands province today, where thousands have gathered for the Johane The Fifth of Africa International Church (J5) 2026 Annual Conference.
ZANU PF Chairman and Minister of Defence, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, is set to officially address the massive gathering on behalf of His Excellency, President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa, cementing the strong, continuing partnership between the state and indigenous churches.
It was my distinct privilege to grace the Young Miners Foundation Workshop at the Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences today, in the company of Government institutions, development partners, academia and other stakeholders.
The workshop focused on equipping participants with knowledge on value addition and beneficiation, mining formalisation, financial discipline, and safe mining practices. A total of 90 young miners from across Zimbabwe benefited from the workshop and received certificates.
I applaud His Excellency the President, Cde Dr E.D. Mnangagwa for his visionary leadership that continues to open doors for young Zimbabweans in the mining economy. Under his philosophy of “Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo”, Government has placed youth at the centre of development. His call to "Leave No One and No Place Behind" compels us to ensure Manicaland’s young miners are leaders, not spectators. The future of our minerals is in your hands.
For too long mining was informal: dig today, sell tomorrow, and have nothing to show. That must end. Vision 2030 targets a $12 billion mining industry, and young people must lead it. I challenged the young miners to take a leading role in driving Zimbabwe’s economic development through responsible and sustainable mining.
To achieve this, we must formalize. Register your claims and companies to access finance, markets, and legal protection. Keep proper books, pay taxes, and reinvest profits. Mine like a CEO, not a gambler. Join cooperatives.
No profit is worth a life. I call for Zero Harm in Manicaland. Use PPE, safe chemicals, and rehabilitate mining sites. Practice financial discipline. Money from gold must build the future. Build assets.
Government, through the Ministry of Mines and my Office, commits to youth formalization, training, market linkages, and fighting illegal dealers.
Young miners, you are not the problem. You are the solution. Let us talk business. Keep focused. “Usabvise maziso pabhora”Discipline today = Prosperity tomorrow.

Today in Beira, Mozambique, I had the honour of leading a delegation of Zimbabwean companies and gracing the second ZimTrade Outward Mission.
In my remarks, I emphasized that this mission embodies His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s mantra of “Zimbabwe is open for business.” This approach prioritizes partnerships that drive trade, investment and development. Our engagement with Mozambique demonstrates this commitment. It focuses on expanding market access, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for our people as we advance towards Vision 2030.
I reminded delegates that our relationship with Mozambique is anchored in history and strengthened by trade. In April 2025 President Mnangagwa hosted President Daniel Chapo in Bulawayo, where President Chapo said, “Zimbabwe is Mozambique and Mozambique is Zimbabwe.” That goodwill was institutionalized in November 2025 with the inaugural Zimbabwe–Mozambique Bi-National Commission. This mission is the commercial follow-through to those decisions.
As port’s largest hinterland user, Zimbabwe’s imports from Mozambique grew from US$285.9 million in 2023 to US$457.7 million in 2025, a 60% increase. Our exports reached US$266.2 million in 2025, up 4.4%.
Manicaland sits at the very gateway of this relationship. The Mutare–Beira Corridor is a lifeline. It moves our timber, fertilisers, processed foods and engineering goods, and brings in fuel, cereals and oils that sustain our industries.
We are working with ZimTrade, our Embassy and Consulate, and Mozambican authorities to address barriers to cargo movement and clearance to reduce the cost of doing business.
To our Mozambican counterparts, Zimbabwe stands ready as a reliable partner in supply, investment and friendship. We are here to build partnerships that drive industrial growth, create jobs, and deliver shared prosperity.

We express our deepest gratitude and profound respect to His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, following his landmark assent to Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 (CAB3), officially signing it into law. In executing this monumental state duty, the President has once again anchored his leadership on the supreme will of the citizens, affirming that CAB3 is, fundamentally, a project of the people. Crafted through broad consensus and reflective of our collective national vision, this amendment represents a deliberate stride toward perfecting our governance frameworks and securing our institutional future. By aligning the highest law of the land with the shared aspirations of our nation, President Mnangagwa has powerfully reaffirmed the enduring truth that the voice of the people is the voice of God.
The enactment of CAB3 marks a decisive and historic turning point for Zimbabwe, effectively closing the chapter on political toxicity and ushering in an era of unprecedented national stability. Because political and constitutional certainty serve as the absolute bedrock of investor confidence, this legal milestone sends a clear, undeniable signal to the international community that our operating environment is secure, predictable, and ripe for large-scale global capital. With the rules of engagement firmly established and the debilitating friction of past polarization left behind, we anticipate that investors will now arrive in numbers to participate in our economic expansion. This moment stands as the definitive cornerstone of Zimbabwe’s golden era—a prosperous, unified, and forward-looking trajectory driven by constructive, policy-led progress. We applaud His Excellency for his visionary statesmanship, his deep respect for democratic alignment, and his unwavering dedication to building a prosperous Zimbabwe, brick by brick.

*Honourable Owen Ncube Hands Over Aid to the Elderly in Shurugwi District*
Today, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Midlands Province, Honourable Owen Ncube, hands over blankets and mealie meal to the elderly in Shurugwi District.
The support provides warmth and food relief to senior citizens who face challenges during winter and periods of need. Caring for the elderly upholds our values of respect, dignity, and ubuntu. The gesture eases hardship for vulnerable households, strengthens community welfare, and shows government’s commitment to leaving no one behind. It also encourages families and communities to continue supporting senior citizens as custodians of culture and wisdom in Shurugwi.
Zimbabweans from the Zambezi to the Limpopo are all in agreement that 2030 ndeyaMnangagwa.
CAB3 is the people’s project. In 2017, ED told us that the voice of the people is the voice of God.
We all have high hopes that President ED Mnangagwa will put our interests before his own and sign CAB3 into law.
