The Emergency Department is under significant pressure and there is a very long wait to be seen.
You will be seen but could be a long wait, as the priority is to see more urgent, seriously ill and injured patients. Use 111 for advice.
And there is a jnr doctors strike..
At 7am tomorrow, junior doctors will begin 72hrs of strike action, ending at 7am, Sat 23 December. With fewer medical staff on duty, we expect long waits for emergency care, so please seek medical help for non-urgent problems via #NHS111, your GP or local urgent treatment centre.
Our hospitals will be impacted by 72 hours of #strike action by junior doctors, starting at 7am tomorrow morning. For emergency medical help, please continue to come forward, but for all non-urgent, routine queries use #NHS111, your local #pharmacy or Urgent Treatment Centre.
Junior doctors have just begun 72 hours of strike action, ending at 7am on Saturday 23 December. Picket lines will be in place outside Hull Royal Infirmary this morning but will not cause difficulty when it comes to access.
For medical queries or advice, think #NHS111 first.
Top tips to get the best from local health services during the #juniordoctorstrikes 11-15 April:
๐ Attend hospital appointments as planned unless we've been in touch to reschedule
๐ฆต Only use @emergencyhull if there's a threat to life or limb
๐ป Contact 111 if unsure what to do
Further #JuniorDoctorsStrike from 11th-14th April. Shortage in no. of doctors; may have long waiting times.
We are open as usual; please attend A&E in case of emergency.
Use 111 or other community and GP services if it's not.
Junior Doctors are planning 4 full days of strike action after the long Easter weekend. This is traditionally a very busy period for our hospitals so will present extra challenges. Please use community healthcare for all non-urgent and routine health needs during this time.
#JuniorDoctorsStrike
We continue to remain open for accidents and emergencies.
If your condition can be managed at another health care facility, you are likely to be streamed away to that service.
Please ring 111 if unsure.
Day 3 of the #JuniorDoctorsStrikes is getting underway. We continue to provide routine care as far as possible so please attend appointments as normal unless we've been in touch to say otherwise. Essential services such as @EmergencyHull and @HullNicu are being maintained.
#juniordoctors are on strike for 3days from Monday 13th. While some services/ appointments may not go ahead, the A&E will function as usual and will remain open for accidents and emergencies.
If you are unsure about your symptoms, please ring 111 for advice.
#JuniorDoctors will go on strike at 7am tomorrow. If you have a hospital appointment between 13 & 16 March and have not already heard from us, please attend as normal. You may see picket lines outside our hospitals but staff will not hinder/delay you getting to your appointment.
