Wasn't like the cactus stuff in Chapter 3 literally about how Kris loves Noelle but couldn't make her happy the same way Susie does, so they watch from far away pining forevermore. Happy that she found happiness with someone else. But ultimately being sad that it couldn't be them

This is great and probably true and nothing but love for OP but it's a bit funny to phrase things this way because we can also deduce Kris is in love with Noelle by using our eyes to read text and our brains to process information

@Treesundere (11) Susie is just clueless. It took her to Chapter 4, after defeating the Titan, to even acknowledge Kris's soul coming out of their body to seal dark fountains. Or in this case to purify the Titan. Her not questioning things is just a part of her character.
