We officially commissioned and handed over the first-ever Nigerian Air Force Administrative Complex in Umuahia to the Federal Government, yesterday. This landmark project represents our commitment to strengthening security and protecting the lives and property of all who live and work in Abia.

Security is a fundamental right, and for us, it is non-negotiable. The presence of the Nigerian Air Force in our State completes the circle of the nation’s armed forces already here, alongside the Army in Ohafia and the Navy in Owerinta. Together, they form a stronger shield for our people.

I extend my profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Kelvin Aneke, for their partnership and support. This collaboration between the Federal Government and Abia State is proof that when we work together, we can achieve lasting peace and progress.

Beyond security, the facility will stimulate socio-economic growth, create opportunities for our youth, and reinforce the foundation upon which sustainable development is built. We have also allocated land at the ongoing Abia Airport project in Nsulu for a permanent Nigerian Air Force Base, ensuring that this presence is not temporary but enduring.

To the officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, welcome to Abia. Be assured of our full support as you carry out your constitutional duties to safeguard our dear State.
