The World Cup has turned America into a discovery channel for the rest of the world.
And they are not handling it well.
In the best possible way.
Here is what they are discovering:
Free public restrooms. Europeans pay every time.
Free water at every restaurant. Just appears.
Free refills. Coffee. Sodas. Iced tea. Unlimited.
Free chips and salsa before you even order.
Free warm bread with dinner.
Ice in drinks like civilized people.
Air conditioning everywhere. Not a moral debate. A fact.
Parking lots attached to the actual place you are going.
Drive throughs where the food comes to the car while you sit in it.
Ranch dressing by the gallon.
Tex-Mex that cannot be explained only experienced.
Dental care that actually works.
Buccee’s. There are no words for Buccee’s.
Then they found the grocery stores.
Five of them within one mile.
Each one the size of an aircraft hangar.
Burgers. Steaks. Brisket. Ribs. Pulled pork. Lamb. Veal. Every cut of every animal ever domesticated by human civilization available in one refrigerated aisle at ten in the morning on a Tuesday.
The Germans stood in the meat section for forty five minutes.
In silence.
Processing.
They finally understand why we do not have trains.
We have roads wide enough for the cars we actually drive.
Parking lots the size of small European countries.
Airports in every city worth visiting.
Why would we need trains.
The Germans are taking ranch home by the bottle.
The Dutch found queso and briefly lost the ability to speak.
The Japanese are photographing HEB like it is the Louvre.
The Czechs are weeping in West, Texas.
Welcome to America!
The greatest country on earth.
VOTING WITH THEIR FEET: Jamie Dimon blasts high taxes and a poor quality of life for driving a "huge exodus" of people and businesses out of blue states.
The JP Morgan CEO is warning cities now have to compete to keep residents, pointing to the massive shift of Americans moving from states like New York and California to Florida:
"What they're doing is they're hurting your own city. And, you know, unfortunately, people vote with their feet."
I keep seeing so called "smart people" arguing against Trumps tarriff plan, but that's only because they think in checkers, not chess.
And yes, Trump's plan is the epitome of 5D Chess.
Here's why...
ABIA @AUStinAirport has become one of the worst airports to get through security. It now rivals DIA, maybe worse. I travel nearly every week and dread going through ABIA security. They can’t get it right. The new scanning machines only contribute to the mess. They are so slow.

At least a 2.5 hour delay. Original plane replaced due to mechanical issues. We were sent another “broken plane”. They have spent nearly and hour for a broken bulb. Get it together @UnitedAirlines_ this is ridiculous! UA 2071 IAH to TUS
I did not realize Stillwater taxpayers will pay an extra $1.2 million on a city project because the city is not allowed to do business with the lender who offered the best rate: Bank of America. BlackRock, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Street Corp, Climate 1st Bank also banned.
“This is only the first of many public improvement projects across the state that will be impacted. Ultimately, the increased cost will impair municipalities’ ability to do these kinds of projects... impacting , critical services like fire and police.” Mike Fina. Municipal League
After years of work by the legislature, Oklahoma is finally close to joining most other states by adopting a felony classification system through HB 1792. Let’s get this done.

Texas HB 213 providing juvenile offenders a “Second Look” for parole eligibility.
“Thank you @moodyforelpaso for championing this issue & thank you @BradBuckleyDVM for your thoughtful remarks,” -@nikkipressley_@tolmanbrett
FLOOR ALERT: HB 1737 will provide second-chances for deserving Texans. Those who have paid their debt to society & successfully completed their sentences for non-violent misdemeanors should be able to earn a living, chart a new path, & benefit all of us in the process. #txlege

HB 1737: #CleanSlate for eligible individuals in Texas.
More than 4 million Texans live with a criminal record, and many are already eligible for record expungement under current law.
Thank you @leachfortexas for common sense, conservative criminal justice legislation to improve public safety in Texas.
