Only Olódùmarè knows why Yoruba people, especially parents, seem to be making such a strong effort to teach their children the Yoruba language, culture, and traditions all of a sudden.

Everywhere you look, Yoruba parents are reconnecting their children with their heritage, teaching them the language, traditional dances, music, history, and customs.

Perhaps it is a sign of a cultural awakening: after generations of assimilation and the fear of losing our identity, Yoruba people are realizing that culture survives when it is intentionally passed down to the next generation. What was once taken for granted is now being preserved, celebrated, and proudly taught to our children.

I prefer a modern day Africa where all ethnicities are independent forming a nation and protecting their common interest under a one African state ( territory considered as an organized political community under one government), using a single currency backed by its resources. Not an Africa that is made up of Countries where people of different descent, history, language, ideologies and culture come together just to end up at war.

Check out Europe almost all the ethnic groups in Europe has a country. Meanwhile in Africa several ethnicity are being divided by colonial borders. #Africa
