Among his key messages:

• Hungary is becoming “the new Venezuela - just without the oil.” A system where political power is used to eliminate opponents, capture institutions, intimidate dissent, and concentrate power.

• Democracy ceases to exist when those in power decide who is allowed to run in elections.

• The rule of law ceases to exist when constitutional institutions are dismantled, independent officeholders are removed for political reasons, and state authorities are turned against political opponents.

• Hungary faces serious economic risks. The government is replacing economic governance with propaganda while ignoring mounting structural problems: a weakening productive economy, mounting pressure on exporters, looming energy price shocks, and the growing danger of inflation and austerity. If this course continues, Hungary could face another wave of foreign economic domination and the loss of strategic national assets.

• Hungary’s sovereignty must be defended against external political pressure. Decisions affecting the country’s future must be made in Budapest - not in Brussels.

• The achievements of the previous 16 years - including economic stability, family support, energy security, national assets, public safety, and sovereignty - must be defended, not dismantled.

• Hungary’s democratic constitutional order will be restored. Those harmed by political persecution will receive full compensation, while anyone who abused state power or committed criminal offences will be held accountable through lawful and fair judicial proceedings.

Orbán concluded with a message of confidence: freedom can be suppressed temporarily, but never permanently. The struggle ahead is not simply about changing a government - it is about restoring democracy, the rule of law, and Hungary’s sovereignty.
