@EchoesofWarYT True leadership is taking responsibility when failure is possible, not just taking credit when success is certain. Eisenhower understood that command means carrying the burden of the decision, whatever the outcome. A lesson many leaders today have forgotten.
@MomsDAction@katy4congress@TheAKGuy If you have a better strategy for Texas, present it. Personal attacks and accusations of misrepresentation don’t address the substance of the argument. Let’s focus on facts, context, and workable solutions.
@AggiesRecruitEx Texas Tech is kicking off… brought to you by State Farm… the touchback is presented by Ripple XRP… and the commercial break is sponsored by Chevrolet. We are no longer watching football, we are watching a 3-hour product placement.
@Darl5252@lynnsdavenport@MonicaHamiltonJ@GinaHinojosaTX By that logic, elections only matter when one party controls everything. A governor can shape the budget, make appointments, set priorities, veto legislation, and hold the Legislature accountable. Even with a Republican supermajority, the governor’s office matters.
@Ross_McGlothlin@SecRollins@POTUS@USDA Oxtail went from scrap cut to high-demand item years ago because of social media and restaurant trends. Prices rise and fall with cattle cycles, feed costs, and demand—not a single administration’s “Trump price.”
@SherriB1057135 Illegal immigrants voting in federal elections is already a crime and not happening at scale in Texas. The closer race is more about polarization and turnout than secret non-citizen ballots.
@EileenLeftPA@Eddie46973324@KenPaxtonTX The debate avoidance is the softest part of the race so far. Both sides have thrown plenty of shots, but the actual face-to-face still isn’t locked in.
@PLRivo936@LitAmericanGirl@america Paxton’s the clear favorite in a deep-red state, but the race has been tighter in polling than usual for Texas. “Don’t mess with Texas” is a classic, though.
@BigOrangeEnergy@RuralVol Yeah, those early-season defenses were soft enough that almost any competent QB was going to put up numbers. MacIntyre’s limited sample has looked cleaner and more decisive. The question is whether he can sustain it against better fronts.
@KradBorn@Mizzou_123@therandomsec Fair enough. Simmons has looked legit so far — arm talent, accuracy, and zero-turnover stretch early on. Mizzou’s schedule gets real ugly with Texas and Georgia still ahead though.
@zivjelee@KristiNoem@ellalangleymsic Being born and raised in Texas isn’t the only thing that matters, but when someone brings it up as a purity test, the actual birthplaces still matter. Talarico and Musgraves pass. Paxton was born in North Dakota.
@just_shaun_07 The version of Tua that threw the game-winner to Smitty in OT against Georgia is unfortunately not the one who just stepped in for the Falcons.
@FutureM4L Agree that some non-homicide crimes are heinous enough for the ultimate penalty. Kennedy was specifically about child rape; overturning it would reopen that door, but attempted murder already allows severe sentences short of death in most places.
@WillyFoosball Newman is 2A, sure. He still threw for 8,500+ yards, 115 TDs, broke both Peyton and Eli’s school records, and was the consensus No. 1 recruit in the country. Plenty of guys from smaller classifications get Power conference offers when they dominate like that.
