Batman, released 37 years ago today, hit pop culture like an earthquake, rewriting how movies were marketed, consumed, and made. It shattered expectations, sparked full-blown “Batmania,” and its merch alone pulled in $750M, out-earning the movie itself.
Batman was MASSIVE.
Tim Burton’s Batman released on 37 years ago this week. I wasn’t born when this film released but that’s never stopped me from fully embracing this version of Batman. Keaton is excellent as Bruce Wayne. And my favorite actor ever, Jack Nicholson, is unforgettable as Joker. This film holds up incredibly well & is one of the best comic book films ever put on screen.
