For anyone who is thinking about taking up the £350 offer from the government to house a refugee, know this.

The government will prioritise Sudanese and Eritrean refugees, check out the crime stats for both. These people have no history, you will be taking a complete stranger into your home, your neighbourhood. And you will have absolutely no idea who that man is (and it will be a man) or what he is capable of.

When it all goes wrong, and it will all go wrong, it will be your door people come knocking on. It will be you they approach in the streets. People will blame you. You'll lose your friends, your neighbours, and in some cases even your family.
