It’s close to my heart. I can’t wait to share it with you in Fall 2025! 🏒📖

PIECE OF THE WEEK: Farmers are struggling to compete against larger operations. Is automation the answer? https://t.co/gDlKR6ZrMO (@thewalrus@EmilyBat)
When we think of farmers, we often think of Mom and Pop types, smiling in well-worn overalls and plaid shirts as they tend to their animals and crops by hand. It’s a romantic, unsophisticated image.
It’s also completely false.

Have been working in media for 16 years and never seen the entire enterprise this precarious. The ground is giving way. Luckily MrBeast and the Paul brothers are seasoned, trustworthy journalists and your young aunt’s TikTok assessments of global health are sound
Canadian folk song: Northwest Passage by Stan Rogers. Looking west accross the Atlantic ocean today to Canada. I can't belive the destruction that these wildfires can cause. Thoughts and prayers with all those effected 🇨🇦 💚
FROM THE GCL ARCHIVES: You can have a great credit history and still see your score plummet. How did the rating system become so powerful? https://t.co/wuumUW4QUr (@thewalrus@EmilyBat)
This is, and I cannot stress this enough, the absolute biggest pile of bullshit. A nothing problem trumped up in an effort to make it harder for trans and non-binary youth in Canada. Infuriating and nonsensical. Also, just change your pronouns, you never have to ask. Just tell.
Temporary employees have made up a large part of @CBCRadioCanada's workforce for decades. They're compensated the same as any other employee—with one notable exception. Most are always looking over the edge into unemployment, with no guarantee of ever securing a permanent job.
