Just finished our session on Inclusivity and the Creative Industries as part of the @acm_uk Creative Industries Futures Symposium! Some thought provoking papers challenging gendered narratives in the music industry and calling on HE and community organisations to address this.
@clt_bath@UoB_HEFi Thank you @clt_bath and @UoB_HEFi for hosting this chat. It's been a really enjoyable and productive way to spend my lunch break today. Lots to go away and think about #BlendEdHEChat
@clt_bath@UoB_HEFi A5: I've been seeing so many innovative examples of blended and bimodal teaching on social media. Looking forward to reading other replies to this question to find more great examples for inspiration #BlendEdHEChat
@clt_bath@UoB_HEFi A3: It's important to make an easy and safe environment for students to reach out if they will struggle with blended assessment formats due to home environments or limited access to equipment and technology. These are also important design considerations. #BlendEdHEChat
@DrEmmaRich@clt_bath This is a great point! I've noticed that some students feel more conscious in a digital environment when they can see themselves on their screens #BlendEdHEChat
@clt_bath@UoB_HEFi A2: We've been varying class sizes, delivering important content to whole cohorts and running smaller workshop groups later in the week to enable discussion around important concepts and ideas. The breakout room function on Zoom has been helpful for this too #BlendEdHEChat
@clt_bath A1: I think that it's important to encourage student engagement and collaboration by building activities to facilitate this in our lesson plans #BlendEdHEChat
@clt_bath@UoB_HEFi Hi - I'm a Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Birmingham. Interested to find out more about blended learning techniques #BlendEdHEchat
