Many roads were treated overnight but we still have issues with icy road conditions district wide. It is still not a good idea to get on the roads. You can get a complete list of icy roadways at https://t.co/SRjCQyRbh4. Stay warm! Stay safe.
If you absolutely have to get on the roads, drive like you’re in a school zone, very slowly, cautiously. There is patchy ice on all state roadways in the Houston region, this can be very dangerous. TxDOT crews are treating everything they can.
As ice melts throughout the day, you may have a window to resupply before conditions deteriorate again. Please be a good neighbor and only purchase enough to get through the weekend. Info on some open stores: https://t.co/iz9arp84UE
The City of Houston is under a boil water 💧 notice. Do no drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a boil for at least two minutes. Let it cool before using. More information:

As conditions change in the Houston area go to https://t.co/SRjCQyzApw to get the latest updates on icy roads. You can also go to https://t.co/Vt2tSvNjho for road conditions across the state. Please plan on staying home. Stay safe!
Same story, different day. There is still ice on roadways, even in the southern portions of the Houston region. Stay home if you can, drive as if you’re in a school zone if you must get out. Crews are treating the ice and monitoring conditions, please give them space to work.

I can’t believe July 7, 2016 was 4 years ago. So many DPD officers went through hell this night & I can’t even imagine. Just my interviews with these officers & families kept me up & woke me up for a lot of nights. Lead with love. Watch our documentary: https://t.co/bxBaBqtc3Y
Perspective. On March 5, there were 11 coronavirus deaths in the U.S. On March 12, there were 38. On March 19, there were 149. On March 26, there were 938. Right now - three days later - there are more than 2,000 deaths in the U.S.
Today, TxDOT donated 3,500 masks & 14,000 pairs of rubber gloves to be distributed in response to the #COVID19 threat. The need for critical and protective equipment remains high and Texas is asking for your help. To volunteer supplies or your time visit https://t.co/fxKMHMzIAL
BREAKING: I've just issued a Stay Home-Work Safe Order for Harris County residents effective midnight tonight. Folks should stay home except for essential needs. This moment in history will define our future. History will say we prioritized human life.
The grocery stores in our city will not be shutting down. There is no problem in our food supply chain.
There is no need to rush to the store as if things are running out.
I am asking Houstonians to buy what you need and think of others. #COVID19
