🚨 A former Scottish Government minister has told John Swinney the closure of Creative Scotland’s fund for artists is “nonsensical and insensitive,” saying he is “perplexed” at new arts cuts when £100m in new investment has been committed.🚨 https://t.co/jWbklDvZ3o @TheScotsman
Funding cuts are having a significant impact on our nation’s artists and theatres.
If you enjoy seeing Scottish work, then please continue to support the artists who make the powerful performances that appears our stages.

Disaster. For artists and organisations at the innovative end of things. For the organisations they fuel. For audiences. For culture in Scotland. For people who sacrifice so much for their belief in the importance of art in society.
This is devastating news for freelancers in Scotland.
Open Fund for Individuals has supported almost all the work I have made to date.
We need clarity and funding from @scotgov now, if they want to ensure there is in fact a culture sector TO fund in the future.
NEWS - CREATIVE SCOTLAND CLOSE KEY FUNDING FOR ARTISTS
Creative Scotland has taken the difficult decision to close the Open Fund for Individuals to new applications due to the Scottish Government being unable to confirm release of £6.6m in Grant-in-Aid budget
