Finally, while I’m about “90-95%” better, maintaining a consistent state of wellness is an ongoing process, and minor relapses do happen if I push too hard. I practice caution with dosing exercise volume and intensity, and sustained exertion in the heat is still off limits.
@gezmedinger Great to see you back out there! Your videos on long covid were so helpful to me throughout my post-viral recovery process. It took me nearly 18 months, but I am finally “better enough” and back to doing the things I love. Glad to see you are starting to do the same!
@edwardmdpt Thanks! This recovery has been one hell of a struggle, but on the positive side, my dedication to self-care is now elite level. Hope the video was helpful to your student, thank you for sharing it. We’ll get through this awful time eventually!
After dealing with my own clinical course of #longcovid for most of this year, this hospital PT and competitive rower can confirm that #covid may seriously F you up even if you are young, healthy, and never “sick enough” to be hospitalized. 😷
