@britcorm @LISprochat I said this same thing earlier- my kids, especially, have really missed interacting with our wonderful children's librarians. #LISprochat
@creativealisha1@LISprochat This!! My kids, especially, miss the interaction they had with our children's librarians. It's sad to think this could possibly end up being the new norm. #LISprochat
A4: I hope my library continues curbside pick up, to-go crafts, and virtual events for those who cannot attend in person. I hope browsing, interaction, and in person events come back when it's safe. #LISProChat
@Emily56298538@LISprochat A year long reading program sounds interesting! What do you have in mind? Isn't it sad to think that no more browsing is going to be the new norm? #LISprochat
A3: I'm just here for everyone else's answers to this question!! Staying productive when virtual is a challenge! In my case, it's a race to accomplish tasks between the time my kids fall asleep and I fall asleep. #LISprochat
@kdphpirate@Emily56298538@LISprochat This!!! Everything is leveled these days..that's my research topic- effects of limiting students' book choices to their reading levels. I love that you can hide the grade level headings. I'm going to have to look into this more. #LISprochat
@kdphpirate@Emily56298538@LISprochat I love that- the part where it is private. When I was teaching remediation, kids would get picked on for having to attend. It was hard! I love the privacy aspect of this. #LISprochat
A1: While I'm not currently employed in a library, I can speak from the patron side. No more in person events (everything is virtual), self check is the only option, plastic barriers between library staff and patrons, no more browsing, limited interaction with staff.
