Stunning finish to our geography tour of Iceland today with these northern lights over our hotel. Off to climb a glacier on our next day. @RoyalHighBath
Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me to run the Bath Half for the Alzheimer’s Society. It was beautiful weather and there was loads of support around the route. It’s not too late to donate to this worthy cause… https://t.co/eKN1MYx9mN
Improbably, I will be running the @bathhalf in October in support of @alzheimerssoc. This brilliant charity is aiming to transform all of our lives by supporting people with dementia and those around them. Please consider donating here: https://t.co/eQdqzvQv7W

Fact checkers @FullFact have examined claims that asylum can be applied for through UNCHR 🔽
There is no mechanism through which refugees can approach UNHCR with the intention of seeking asylum in the UK. There is no asylum visa or ‘queue’ for the UK.

It’s disturbing hearing so many people defending bullying as a proper or effective means of getting things done. Do these people never think of those on the other end of their behaviour?
@amandajplatell@DominicRaab “Tory hating civil servants”. On what evidence do you base this claim? How does complaining about the behaviour of one individual amount to hatred of a political party?
"It's a mistake to have allowed him to resign."
Former Conservative Cabinet Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg tells @mattfrei that Dominic Raab should not have resigned over an investigation into bullying - saying people in office need “backbone."
See also this excellent comment from @AlexGAThomas on the inadequacies of civil service processes for dealing with complaints against ministers revealed by the Raab saga https://t.co/rkVVJYmxaQ
My view on the Raab resignation - the PM has missed an opportunity to clarify the standards expected of ministers and to improve the tone of his government’s relations with the civil service, storing up problems for the future https://t.co/z3KeAUdqsh
Dominic Raab has just resigned after allegations on Ministerial bullying.
As many of you will know by now, I interviewed 50 civil servants at the end of last year and many of them spoke about relationships with Ministers.
Here’s a sample of what they had to say 👇
So #Raab gets shown the report, but the complainants don’t. Raab gets a pass for 24 hours to brief the press unchallenged. His resignation letter today has detailed attacks on the report & the inquiry process, before we know what it says, What a disgraceful shambles of a process.
