A6--I agree with @jtalburt that it is not being comfortable. So many of us felt like we were "not good at math" so we lack confidence to change how we learned it even though it wasn't successful. #SPSMathChat

@MsCastillosMath Because I have seen it in action. Watching kids eyes get wide when they understand because someone else said it in a way more easily understood than when I say it. And coming from other kids they listen to it.

A4--I can pose all sorts of purposeful questions. Facilitating math discourse is harder because I can't have a turn and talk with a partner scenario in my zoom meetings. How I wish my kids could really TALK to each other. They would learn so much more! #SPSMathChat

A3--Acquiring conceptual knowledge as well as procedural knowledge is different than it was for me when I was a kid. I feel like if I had been taught the conceptual part then the procedural would have come easier. #nowimamathperson #SPSMathChat
