Really is a tough call.
On one hand - every Nobel prize winning economist is adamantly stating that Harris has a significantly better economic plan
But on the other hand - the dumbest people I’ve ever interacted with say Trump is a good businessman
Quite the dilemma
No one can say they didn't know. No one can claim blindness to this suffering. No one can pretend their ears did not hear the cries of children.
But when it's over, and history books are written. Those who were silent or celebrated this, will say to their grandchildren: "Wasn't that a tragedy" "We had no idea of the horrors" "We never supported it"
"Had we known what was happening....".
Well technology has given us one wonderful tool: information. History will no longer be written by the victors, but the people of Palestine who documented and recorded every aspect of their torture and annihilation. Who documented and recorded this for the world to never forget, to expose silence as support and to make sure their plight will be told in one way, and one way only: the truth.

A UN committee estimates that 250,000 to 1 million people have disappeared in Iraq since 1968 - the year when Saddam Hussein's Baath Party seized power.

Two bits of advice to those planning to go into higher education
● study what interests you and not what you think will get you a highly paid job. Life is short. You'll be happier, more fulfilled and probably go on to do better things with your life
● Don't vote Conservative
A “broken” asylum system is one that fails to treat human beings with compassion, dignity and respect.
It’s not about cost. It’s not about efficiency.
It’s about humanity.
The debacle of Liz Truss’ short-lived premiership is a symptom of a broken economic system and a trashed democracy.
We will continue to lurch from crisis to crisis — and ordinary people will pay the price — until we finally build a society for the many, not the few.
So, it's only today the Tories are ashamed? Shame they were not ashamed over Brexit, Windrush, foodbanks, the bedroom tax, child poverty, Grenfell Tower, the Rwanda policy, partygate, the mini budget and the record waiting times in the NHS.
Hilary Mantel: "We see the ugly face of contemporary Britain in the people on the beaches abusing exhausted refugees even as they scramble to the shore. It makes one ashamed. And ashamed, of course to be living in the nation that elected this government..."
This #MiniBudget embeds unfairness across the UK.
The UK Government should be offering meaningful support to those who need it the most. Instead, they’re giving tax cuts to the rich, bonuses to bankers and protecting the eye-watering profits of energy companies.
OUTSTANDING SPEECH
Mhairi Black delivered the most honest critique about this Tory government, in the last 12 years
She covers everything.
It will leave you speechless
This will definitely go down in history.
Lost count how many times I’ve been told to ‘grow some balls’, ‘man up’, ‘stop being a pussy’, in the last 24 hours.
This is why so many male victims are too scared to come forward. If you have a son, please teach them they don’t have to be emotionless to be a ‘man’.
We must educate our young children in the practice of compassion on a worldwide scale. Teachers and parents can instill in children real, warmhearted human values to tremendous benefit. We need a transformation in commitment to the universal values of compassion and love.
Hey there MASSIVE conflict of interest…
How YOU doing?
👀👀👀
Jacob Rees-Mogg…
Our new Secretary of State for Energy is…
“An investor in oil and coal mining through Somerset Capital Management, the fund management firm he co-founded and still benefits from financially”
OMG she’s only gone & done it 😱 @trussliz has put fossil fuel loving, deregulation-obsessed Jacob Rees Mogg in charge of both energy & climate crises -he is not a serious person & this is not a serious Government. Can only hope he wakes up in time to recognise scale of emergency
The Secret Barrister's comments on Priti Patel's exit... couldn't be more accurate. But fear of the unknown is kicking in, could it get any worse? With the Tory leadership the scary answer is most probably ...
@pritipatel@BorisJohnson You have achieved nothing other than to make our country smaller and meaner. You took pleasure in cruelty; most enthusiastically so when you could target it at society’s most vulnerable. Your departure improves politics more than anything else in your career has or ever could.
In Spain, train journeys under 300km are free until the end of 2022.
France’s energy bills are only rising by 4%.
Germany has cut public transport to €9 (£7.70) a month.
Our Government is telling people to buy a new kettle.
Been remembering the dark days when I was working out how to leave my domestic violence situation 18 yrs ago.
Heartbreaking knowing how much harder the cost of living crisis will be making it for women thinking of escaping. That financial pressures will be making the abuse worse
