@TheSpec I find this unsurprising as my child was home sick from school about the same amount of time last year. Barring a large investment in better ventilation and air filtration, I doubt this will change.

@Daisybelll @1goodtern There were several articles in the Spectator (local newspaper) but they are behind a paywall so I haven’t read them. I think the inquiry is still ongoing, and no conclusions as to the cause(s) of the deaths and near misses have yet been drawn.

@JESmith11297695 @DrGorfinkel I’m 40 and my yellow card says I got my second MMR shot in 1996 as part of a provincial reimmunization campaign. I also grew up in Ontario. Guessing this is when public health realized 2 doses were needed.

@medlabscholar May not be relevant to all placements but...If you're introverted make a coping plan for having to meet and work with new people and varying expectations daily/weekly. This exhausted me during my placement and impacted my ability to learn.

Some thoughts that are important to me for my tiny group of followers. I'm a member of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada. My great grandparents emigrated ca. 1900 and ca 1920. While I have an Irish last name and barely speak Ukrainian, it's an important part of my identity.

Prior to the war, I happily visited the Russian pavilion at Heritage days and even wistfully planned on travelling across Russia by train before heading by rail into China or maybe taking a ferry to Japan, but things have changed.
