Team NC Smith 16U Rolls Past Stars Fastpitch, 11–3

Virginia Beach, VA – September 20, 2025

Team NC Smith 16U opened their showcase weekend with a commanding 11–3 victory over Stars Fastpitch McQ/Browdy 16U.

In the Circle:
Savannah Callis (’27) earned the win, striking out five over two innings while allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks. Barrett Price (’28) came in strong for relief, tossing a shutout inning with three strikeouts and just one hit allowed.

At the Plate:
The offense was balanced and explosive. Maddie McCallister (’27), Logan Smith (’28), Spero (’27), Palyn Marker (’27), Kriz (’27), Haislip (’27), and Sophie Berry (’27) each tallied a hit. Ella Kate Hanna (’27) and Kriz (’27) both drove in two RBIs apiece to fuel the scoring surge. Savannah Hall (’27) showed patience with two walks, while Hanna (’27) added pressure on the bases with two stolen bags.

Team Approach:
Team NC Smith 16U showed discipline at the plate, drawing five walks in total while collecting timely hits that broke the game wide open. The squad combined sharp pitching with aggressive offense to set the tone early in the showcase weekend. @TierOneFP @TeamNCSoftball
