@tracyrenee70 The number of elementary schools I've seen where recess and art aren't a given is absolutely shocking to me. And then they wonder why kids can't sit still, can't keep quiet in the halls, etc. Let these kids run, play, and express themselves! They literally NEED it.
@thanightskyy03 1) Children's department at Sears
2) Waiting tables at a retirement home (0/10 do not recommend)
3) Kitchen staff/barista at a coffee shop/sandwich shop/pizza place (yes all three; no none of it was great)
@clapifyoulikeme Add to that the fact that children were, up until maybe the 80s, either a) only lightly supervised or b) expected to be useful in some way, and it gets even worse
@gallenwilbanks It's a 5-step process, it goes in order, don't overdo it:
1. Water or Gatorade
2. Analgesic of choice
3. Little bit of fresh air
4. Salty snack
5. Antihistamine at bedtime (this is crucial)
