A great regional meeting with #NWAAOP this week! I had the honor of speaking about the importance of prioritizing and encouraging physical activity, even (and maybe especially) in populations like individuals post-stroke.
We talked about the vascular root of stroke and its related comorbidites, the neurorehabilitative importance of intensity, and how our interventions as orthotists can facilitate increased physical activity and even exercise to help manage these cardiovascular dysfunctions.
