It is ridiculous that b/c someone has a lot of money they are allowed to run our country regardless if they are adeqaute or not. We must change this corrupt society so that we can prosper. I stand with Bernie. We should not be allowing billonaries to buy our elections! #swo332

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

If you had a couple billion dollars, you could announce your candidacy for president and be taken seriously, even if you were the dumbest person on Earth.

Billionaires should not be able to buy our elections and we’re going to change that.

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

Very content about the impeachment process of Donald Trump. Hopefully people realize that having him involved in any position in office is detrimental to our Country. #swo332

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

Throughout history women have made extraordinary steps in creating equality in the work place. Everyone deserves a fair chance no matter their race, sex, religion, etc. It’s time more women are included and represented in government roles. #swo332

[Elizabeth Warren @ewarren]

.@YuhLine and I are fighting for big, structural change—and that includes building a future in which women always have a seat at the table, and young girls see themselves represented in our government.

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

“America is not about millions of people living in fear.” America should be about new opportunites and better futures for people. Immigrants do not come to America to be thrown in jail, they come to be free. #swo332

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

I stand with DACA recipients and immigrants across the country today.

When we win we'll reverse every ugly thing Trump has done to hurt immigrants. America is not about millions of people living in fear.

On day one, I'll restore DACA and put a moratorium on all deportations.

Veterans have served our country to protect us. However, they make up about 9 percent of all homeless adults in the United States. I agree with Bernie, not a single veteran should have to sleep on the streets! #swo332

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

This is the richest country on Earth.

Not a single veteran should have to sleep on the streets.
Not a single veteran should go hungry.
Not a single veteran should go without the health care they need.

Warren states her plan, “to give every student the resources they need to thrive, regardless of where they live, what they look like, or how much money their parents make.” It is so crucial that the youth in today’s society is getting proper & equal education they deserve #swo332

[Elizabeth Warren @ewarren]

Parents would do anything to ensure their children have a fair shot in life—and I want to help. That's why I've got a plan to make sure every kid can get a high-quality public education that sets them up for success. https://t.co/F8eDgPTgGj

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

#swo332 For the policy in media paper I watched Samantha Bee use humor & sarcasm to clearly represent her point of view. I think what she had to say was extremely compelling & helped me see even more, the horrible treatments of ICE against immigrant families.

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

About one-third of adults under the age of 30 have student loan debt. It is crucial that we make college more affordable so that everyone has the right to an education. I agree with Warren when she says “we NEED to cancel student debt and make college free for everyone!” #SWO332

[Elizabeth Warren @ewarren]

It's always a good day to be reminded that I got where I am because a great education was available for $50 a semester at the University of Houston (go Cougars!). We need to cancel student debt and make college free for everyone who wants it.

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

Today at the conference I learned about the struggle immigrants endured trying to get to the U.S. Watching the guest speaker cry about her experience was heartbreaking. She explained to us that all they want is a better future for their families. We must see a change! #SWO322

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

@cintya_gonzalez @mjones908 Because of this treatment from their own family, they are most likely to face hostility and harrassment in other situations as well, which overall affects their sense of self worth. A 1994 study reported that “75% of homless youth worked as prostitues.” #SWO332

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

To add to this we must begin to educate ourselves on this issue so that we can get focus on how this discrimination affect the LGBTQ community overall.

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

Even though some states have legalized same sex marriages, we have yet to end the unreasonable and constant animosity on the LGBTQ community. This community faces homlessness, employment discrimination, violence, and many other acts of hate for being themselves #SWO332

We must begin to realize that climate change is becoming the biggest concern in the world right now. I agree with Bernie in which if we stand together and continue to spread the word and create change we can win this battle #SWO332

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

Solving the climate crisis will not be easy. We have to take on the immense power of the fossil fuel industry. But we have a worldwide movement of young people on our side, and we're going to win.

[Emily Whille @EmilyWhille]

I think that Bernie Sanders view on medicare is reasonable because it benefits the entire population of America equally #swo332
