The Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022 has officially passed the Maryland General Assembly and will now go to the Governor. The climate crisis demands immediate, bold, and achievable action, and that is what Democrats in the MGA have delivered for Marylanders.
Probably one of the cooler things I've organized. And immediately followed by great news that #ClimateSolutionsNow passed the Senate!! Thanks again to my Senator @PaulPinsky for all your hard work. @CCANActionFund #MDGA22#ClimateEmergency
DELAY = DEATH. The IPCC made it very clear: We can’t afford to wait for climate solutions. But in Maryland, fossil fuel interests are attacking our best shot, the Climate Solutions Now Act (SB 528).
Policing was not designed to preserve or establish justice. All the good things that cops are "supposed" to do should not fall on police. This isn't a utopian pipe dream of an idea, its doable dollar by dollar.
Before #MDGA20 ends early due to COVID - We need common sense reform. The PSC Climate Test bill would get us there! Tell Maryland leaders - we need a climate test for the PSC! #PSCClimateTest https://t.co/4kW5OPPDoJ @Davis4MD
Hey @SenBillFerg - With the climate crisis well underway, we need to move to 100% clean energy. Community Choice Energy gives power to the people, and away from shareholder utilities, to move us to a clean energy future. Please pass HB561! #MDGA20
We're still in staff meetings to recalibrate strategy given news of session ending/lack of Annapolis staff. Will be in touch with volunteers this afternoon. Also personally working on a local mutual aid project. Updates later <3
All joking aside, for those who are worried about quarantining during #COVID19 in a home where they do not feel safe, live help is available from the National Domestic Violence Hotline 24/7/365 at @ndvh by chat or by calling their hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
