Excited to share my work out from my PhD! Here we show the repurposing potential of a drug candidate for IBD in Alzheimer's disease, demonstrating LANCL2 as a new therapeutic target! https://t.co/0F6tJPBo5m
Truly wild stuff from a local NYC coffee shop — the city has become a very broken place
Can't help but also notice Dan Goldman's thoroughly dignified response
Also wondering @TheLeoTerrell@HarmeetKDhillon if this legal
New York made an egregious mistake last year, accidentally mistaking a smug socialist influencer for a mayor. Now @NYCMayor is assembling a loyalty cult of ideological leeches, determined to turn one catastrophic voting error into a citywide infestation.
As someone who works with transgenic mouse models for cancer research, this is objectively one of the funniest things I’ve seen a real life politician post
NEW from me
Darializa Avila Chevalier — a DSA congressional candidate in a tight house race — praised and raised money for a convicted terrorist responsible for a supermarket bombing that killed two students.
Chevalier also co-founded a group, Columbia University Apartheid Divest, that has recently called for "Death to America".

Y’all, not to be a huge nerd but for the reflecting pool you would need a minimum of about 8,000 liters of 12% hydrogen peroxide to reach the 50 parts per million concentration to kill algae…
Is this what happens when you have 0 scientists in your administration?
The vast majority of American Jews are Zionists. The vast majority of American Jews voted for Harris. The only group that voted for her at higher rates were Black voters. We knew who Trump was. The deal is atrocious, not surprising.
This man is a walking campaign gimmick. The only time he leans into his Jewish identity is when he's trying to provide cover for policies that have no basis in Jewish law, tradition, or practice. A career in politics and nothing to show for it other than being a useful idiot for antisemites. What an absolute joke.
Literally all of the objectives of this war were not met — thanks to Steve Witkoff and JD Vance.
None of these have been achieved:
- No (‼️) nuclear enrichment
- Removal of all enriched materials
- Destruction of the nuclear facilities
- Disarming Hamas
- Disarming Hezbollah
- Ending proxy terror funding
- Ballistic missile program reduction
- Assistance for the Iranian people
And of course, no commitments on human rights and no repercussions for the slaughter of over 40k Iranians in January by the regime.
Even with the military successes, this is an embarrassment for the United States and sets a terrible precedent. The iranian economy is in free fall due to the blockade — but Steve Witkoff and JD Vance intervened to save the regime and Donald Trump went with it.
Bibi's entire career has been antagonizing Democrats, courting Republicans, and claiming that he alone can ensure Israeli security.
Now he has alienated Dems and has a GOP president pulling his leash when Hezbollah bombs Israel.
Hope Israeli voters learn they don't need him.
That's our member behind the wheel. He was pulled out of the cab and suffered shock and physical injury to his arm, back and head.
The whole city is elated about our hometown team — and that includes drivers who watched the game last night at airport lots while waiting for the next fare, listened on their radios while cruising for the next job, and huddled at hotel lines with the same heart-stopping anxiety that turned into the most beautiful joy.
Pulling the cab driver out of his seat, stomping on and shattering his hood turned our joy into a nightmare.
When you see the yellow, do you not see the person behind the wheel? That's someone's spouse, child, parent or friend — a New Yorker.
He wasn’t out there for a joy ride, he was working to make ends meet and to get his fellow New Yorkers home safely.
Cabbies pay just to go to work. They pay for their cars — whether through loans or leases.
Drivers need safety on the job, both in the quiet moments of ordinary days and in the middle of public celebration.
Shame on anyone who turns these joyful moments into nightmares for fellow New Yorkers.
"Stories harmful to Israel—false claims that Israel caused a famine as a weapon of war, or that an Israeli air strike destroyed a Gazan hospital—are reported credulously and corrected slowly, if at all. Stories that discredit Israel’s enemies, such as about Hamas’s crimes against Palestinians in Gaza, are reported grudgingly, if at all." https://t.co/udG0ag6Zg7
Mayor, my grandparents were expelled from their land too. I have deep sympathy for the many Palestinians who experienced that.
I’m not going to debate who was responsible.
My grandmother fled North Africa and Iraq after the Farhud of 1941. Six years before any war over Israel. Palestinians were expelled during a war Arab states launched against us.
Over 850,000 Jews were driven from Arab lands. Almost none remain.
Maybe the mayor of New York should stay out of it. Or speak to both. Don’t weaponize one trauma while actively erasing another.
Especially when using this “Visit Palestine” poster created by Frank Krausz, a Holocaust Survivor and a Zionist Jew.
Shame on your @NYCMayor. This is political propaganda masquerading as compassion.
Mamdani erases the fact that the Arab world rejected the UN's partition plan which would have created a Palestinian state and instead launched a war to destroy the newborn Jewish state in 1948.
He ignores that roughly 850,000 Jews were expelled or forced to flee Arab countries in the years that followed.
And he presents “Nakba Day” as though it is about grief, when in reality it is a movement that rejects Israel's existence (and along with it millions of Jews).
In a city where Jews are already facing rampant harassment and violence, this kind of one-sided historical revisionism fuels hostility toward Jews.
During Jewish American Heritage Month, this action is especially disgraceful and dangerous. Hillel is not a political organization. It is the central home for Jewish student life on campuses across America…a place where Jewish students gather for community, culture, learning, prayer, leadership, and support.
To target Hillel is to target Jewish identity and Jewish belonging on campus.
Jewish students should not be forced to justify their identity, heritage, or communal spaces in order to participate in campus life.
At a moment of rising antisemitism across the country, stripping recognition or funding from Jewish student life sends a chilling and unacceptable message.
We will not be silent about this attack on Jewish life and religious pluralism in higher education.
Universities have a responsibility to protect equal access and inclusion for all students, including Jewish students. Full stop.
I want to stress British Jews are super concentrated in NW London. there are only 250k of us. Roughly around 100k of us live in this area and surrounding areas. It’s like a small town that’s now under sustained attack. This is the heart of the community and every connected Jew across the country will ties, friends, family here. It’s not felt like disjointed and episodic attacks but like small town the size of Worcester is under attack by an IRGC-cut out.
⭐️April is #GraduateStudentAppreciation Month! Join the #FriedmanBrainInstitute in celebrating the @ZhenyuYue_ Lab's Bik Tzu Huang, a 6th Year PhD Candidate. While working on developing a new LRRK2 PD mouse model, Bik Tzu Huang is preparing for her final thesis defense.👏
From a 1,100 person Shabbat dinner on the school’s basketball courts to an Ishay Ribo concert, Jewish joy is thriving at @Columbia That's the positive story about Jewish life at Columbia that doesn't get told enough.
Despite two years of growth and progress, challenges still exist on campus. But I spoke to @JNS_org about how Columbia students are celebrating their Judaism. https://t.co/CkQZSHOlZv

Yoshida et al. present 3D, single-cell-resolution atlases of multiple adult mouse organs and of the entire neonatal mouse. The artwork reimagines Klimt's decorative motifs to reflect the organization and vast scale of individual cells.
