Couldn’t disagree more. My commuting days were some of my happiest. I loved waking early, dressing smart, getting coffee, listening to a podcast, thinking creatively about how to do my job well & make a tiny part of the world a little better
(Time for me to delete X again👋🏻)
Tuesday morning, outside Liverpool Street Station, London. A never ending stream of commuters, off to jobs they hate, having to talk to people they don’t like, buying coffee that’s a million pounds a cup, before they go home, go to bed and repeat tomorrow. And the next day
I don’t know Margaret but she just stopped me in the street and said “I’ve seen what’s going on and it’s not right. You should feel safe in this country and I want you to know I’m not racist.” You might think how can I possibly make a difference? She did in her own little way.
Asked my 3yo what she thought our country might need in our next PM. She thought we’d like someone with “a flag, nice clothes & wearing knickers”
😬
This is a friend of a friend. He has been missing since March 2nd. Can people please retweet - it's strange how some missing people just don't get attention whilst others do? #jayslater#jackosullivan
We in the UK have rightly moved away from supporting outdated orphanage models for children overseas - in preference for finding family units for vulnerable children so WHY are we taking a backwards step in prioritising children’s homes here? Or have we just given up?
Not hyperbole to say my heart is aching that the @Conservatives manifesto says it plans to build more children’s homes & NOT mention finding more foster families for children.
I thought the Conservatives were the party of the family unit? This is so misguided.
Over 30 000 dead
( according to Prime Minister Netanyahu )
Over 1.7 million displaced
Over 50% of all homes destroyed
Around 80 000 injured.
Yet the @BBCWorld reports that an Israeli official has said he expects the war against Hamas in Gaza to continue for at least the rest of this year.
"The fighting in Gaza will continue for at least another seven months,” the prime minister’s national security adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, told Israel's Kan public radio.
We need peace. Too many civilians have died already.
