@kmelkhat I love this. My mom is very very similar - every detail is planned and thoughtful. Honestly this is a great showcase of all the emotional labor that (mostly) moms do to prep for family gatherings. It’s staggering and amazing!
It would be funnier if it weren’t true! 😩 Another reason I’m enjoying my new role in the corporate world… (Although there’s lots I do miss in non-profit arts.)
We’re looking forward to adding 2 new concert series, 4 new community initiatives, 2 new education programs, and 1 additional fundraising event this season. No, we’re not hiring additional staff.
.@CityofDenver Someone PLEASE fix the timing of this light. Corner of Bayaud and S. Colorado heading north. Takes FOREVER to switch to green and then only lets a few cars through.
@NPRmelissablock@NPR Your voice and reporting style is one of my favs, @NPRmelissablock. I think you were one of the most frequent on-air voices when I started listening to NPR, and therefore you’ll always be one of the GOATs!! Congrats on an incredible run!
Two-Spirit (trans) people predate MAGA and Christianity by thousands of years in North America. They held an important status within Indigenous communities. — I absolutely support them and their community. #TransDayofVisability 🪶🏳️⚧️
Today is MY last day with @NPR after 41 years! I want to thank the most curious, attentive and loyal listeners a reporter could ever hope for and who traveled alongside me on a long, wild ride. Arrivederci!!!

We are devastated by the horrific shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs, Colo. this past weekend. We grieve with the families and friends of those who were killed, injured, and traumatized, and we stand in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ community in Colorado and around the world.
