@NHSEngland’s new BRCA gene testing programme to identify cancer risk in those with Jewish ancestry could identify more people carrying the gene variation. This means they can seek early access to surveillance and prevention services & could result in more lives saved.

🗞️From today all people with Jewish ancestry will be able to get BRCA testing. This is the first community wide genetic testing programme and is a huge step forward in enabling more people to know their cancer risk and take measures to prevent cancer!
