WATCH: Sen. Rand Paul removes Dr. Anthony Fauci's attorney David Schertler from Fauci's Senate hearing after repeatedly talking over Paul to defend Fauci after not being invited to speak.
"You will respect these proceedings... You are not invited here for testimony, sir. You are being disruptive."
"Would you behave this way in a courtroom? No, because the judge would put you in jail. I can't do that today, but I can have you escorted from the premises."
After another back-and-forth and the attorney's refusal to listen, Paul then had security remove him from the room.
Fox cameras caught Schertler leaving the courtroom, saying "Dr Fauci has a valid 5th amendment privilege and he has the right to assert it. That’s what I was trying to tell the committee and that’s all I was trying to tell the committee"

Iran is trying to "widen the war" following the deadly missile strike in Jordan that killed two U.S. service members, according to retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. Mike Jernigan.
Jernigan says Tehran's strategy is likely to backfire by further isolating Iran from its regional neighbors while prompting a broader U.S. military response.
He pointed to recent U.S. strikes on key Iranian infrastructure and a brigade inside Iran that claimed responsibility for drone attacks on Jordan, predicting the campaign will continue to accelerate.
"We are suspending campaign operations."
A visibly emotional Graham Platner announced the end of his Senate campaign after multiple sexual misconduct allegations, including a rape accusation, torpedoed his bid.
Platner claimed that suspending the campaign was not an admission of guilt, instead arguing the decision was driven by "the structures that are being taken away from us by those in power."
Platner continues to deny the allegations, previously calling them "troubling, serious and false."
