Queens: Long Island Expressway near the Woodhaven Blvd entrance, the driver of a Jeep who seemed to be in a hurry apparently thought the shoulder was the fastest way around traffic, unfortunately, he forgot to check who was sitting in traffic next to him.

Video shows the driver driving on the shoulder of the highway to get around traffic, but an @MTAPD Highway Patrol officer was sitting right there in traffic.

The officer immediately pulled out and stopped the Jeep.
