a piece I'm really proud of, on a topic that personally means a lot to me.
if you do one thing this week, make it be educating yourself on eating disorders in and out of sport. you never know who, or when, someone is struggling❤️

[Sporting Her @SportingHer]

This week is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week.

We may look at athletes from an outside perspective and think that their lives are perfect. But that’s not always the case – eating disorders do not discriminate.

INJECT IT

[Poots @Poots__]

Worst part is you have to keep watching just in case Joe Gomez scores

[Flo Lloyd-Hughes @FloydTweet]

I would encourage anyone who has been shocked at BBC Sport's reporting on Matt Beard to please report it via the BBC complaints service and then escalate it to Ofcom.

Details on how to do that here -

[Jacqui Oatley @JacquiOatley]

This is such a painful time for everyone who knew Matt Beard. If friends or supporters wish to ease the burden of funeral costs, etc, here’s a way to support Matt’s wife Debbie as she and the kids attempt to process the sudden loss of this lovely man 💔

[Liverpool FC Women @LiverpoolFCW]

A man whose integrity and warmth touched everyone that he met ❤️

His impact on our football club and the wider women’s game will last forever.

Rest in peace, Matt.

[Adam Salter 🌟🌟 @Adam_Salter4]

One of Matt Beard’s greatest matches. Arsenal were the reigning WSL champions and bidding for their 10th consecutive league title. They opened their season by hosting Liverpool at Emirates Stadium. But this was to be Matt Beard’s moment of glory.

[Katie Stengel @ksteng12]

praying for you harry, this breaks my heart. I hope we all are encouraged to tell those we love how much they mean before we have to post tributes. To your dad, we all miss him and appreciated him more than he knew 💛

[Liverpool FC @LFC]

Liverpool Football Club is deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of former LFC Women manager Matt Beard.

The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Matt’s family and friends at this devastating time.

[Who Is Gręgg🇿🇼? @greggmunikwa]

The best thing about Diogo is he’d probably play fifa until about 3am tonight then play in a 12:30 derby and still score the winner.

Mr inevitable 🇵🇹

[Dave @leggydd]

@Davolaar In U9 of the main stand, managed to get my phone out quickly enough when I realised what was about to happen on the scoreboard in front of me.

Remember when Mamadou Sakho used to go around filming dogs for his snapchat and going “beautiful Scouse dog”?

[lena :p @_lenasworlds]

arsenal fans being revolted by smith getting harshly fouled but the refs saying nothing 😐😐😐😐😐😐 you guys were all saying she was throwing herself on the ground last season and thought we were exaggerating for complaining about this issue

[Mohamed Salah @MoSalah]

Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?

[holly @AR23FC]

this is carnage, hannah’s nose pouring with blood, alex down with her shoulder, and lucy strapping her own leg cause the medics are busy

[🥤 @PaulSenior1]

The way the club handled this is absolutely unbelievable.

Sensitive, brilliant, professional. Couldn’t be prouder to be a Red.

Brilliant by all 5 who presented that show too. Must have been so hard.

[Carly @pidgeeighty2]

@TheAnfieldWrap Went yesterday, this made me smile.

[Becky Taylor-Gill @beckytaylorgill]

Nasty nasty work that Thomas Partey has been charged four days after being released from Arsenal. Every single person in the organisation that protected him and delayed this until now should hang their head in shame.

[🙂‍↕️ @vvdijks]

compare that with another boyhood liverpool fan

[LB @LBLFC_]

As each day goes by, it becomes more and more apparent why Arne Slot thought this fella was a complete tosser since day one.

[Mukhtar @I_amMukhtar]

Well, that makes it alright then?
