valko was the original promise.

the argument that their decision has been made, that his cancellation is the final say and that they can’t go back on their promise, is not a valid argument.

they told us just three days prior to his cancellation that valko has been in long stage development. we were PROMISED that there would be no changes to these love interests for ANY REASON!

this was the original promise made on June 27th. this promise made me feel personally safe about valko’s future. restore the original promise, restore your company’s reputation, restore love and deepspace.

🐺 Here is a list of actionable steps and important points to keep in mind to help support the push to reinstate Valko. I may update this, this is not an exhaustive list. Please remember that NOTHING is definitive yet, and we need to continue a POSITIVE push:

1️⃣ REVIEW FLOOD, NOT REVIEW BOMB:
Instead of leaving angry 1-star reviews in the iOS and play store, update your ratings to 2-3 stars and in your review, say something like "The game quality is great but I'm saving my money specifically for Valko. Permanently canceling him removes my reason to continue to spend".

This shows that you are NOT an anti-bot, and a paying customer that WOULD financially support his release. 1-star angry reviews are usually just removed en masse!

2️⃣ USE SAFE LANGUAGE - DO NOT ATTACK ANYONE OR ANY ENTITY AND BE RESPECTFUL:
Don't attack the devs, reference politics, other regions, or players in your posts, instead focus on the quality of the game, narrative, and how this game and character is a vehicle for connection to Chinese media and culture. You can send emails and customer support tickets and say stuff like: "We support the studio's safety, but want the original high quality story, content, and the 6 love interests as planned".

This is all really unfair and upsetting, but anti-bots can easily use our upset to fuel the fire and controversy even worse, by circulating any negative or aggressive sentiments towards the devs, politics, and the CN side overall to sow further division.

3️⃣ KEEP USING THE HASHTAGS, DISCUSSIONS, FANART, AND BE POSITIVE ABOUT THEIR IMPACT:
We've already seen how much our efforts have changed public opinion, encouraged a vast amount of CN players to openly speak out and join our efforts, and have already changed the decision from a "no" to being uncertain with silence, which is a HUGE step. Even popular streamers have shared their support in this movement, and now on the CN side AND globally we are all making it clear how much we love and want this character, what they mean to us, and they are still WATCHING.

4️⃣ SHOW THAT YOU WILL FINANCIALLY SUPPORT VALKO'S DEBUT:
We all know that money talks, that's really what matters most, but global revenue IS still a large percentage of it. Even many CN players that are heavy spenders are boycotting. Gacha companies like this look at future revenue projections, so be positive but share in posts and reviews that you're only saving for Valko's release, myths, and want to financially support this character.

🐺 NOTE: YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO BOYCOTT! Don't spend any more money on this game, but be positive and make clear you will with Valko's release. We want to support the game with this character as originally planned!

There are many fair criticisms about how things have been handled, and developed to this point, I'm not saying to make excuses for any of it or blindly defend anyone. However, public opinion MATTERS, its how things even got to this point. But we can also continue to CHANGE public opinion, and that is the support and leverage Infold needs to justify Valko's release.

Right now, Infold/Papergames likely cannot do or say much because everything is so fresh and still developing, even reaching the point where Shanghai police have had to get involved for the studio's safety. It will probably risk reigniting anti-bot movements and its probably for safety risks atm. Things didn't need to get this bad, but now they have to navigate all of this carefully, and they ARE watching.

Canceling Valko's release is a tremendous financial loss, in addition to boycott responses. They likely WANT to do so, but need a little time and the leverage of global public opinion. Keep helping our CN sisters, and expressing the above points!

Please take breaks as needed. It's ok to be upset or even feel done with this. 🫂

Nobody promised us Valko yesterday. Our own hopes were what let us down. Because that's what happens when something is taken from you: you cling to any date, any sign.

Are they ignoring us? No. The numbers don't lie and they see everything: the discontent on their socials, the deleted accounts, the app ratings, global and CN alike. There's evidence they reviewed the Weibo topics. They have seen us. The mistake was believing that being seen meant being answered directly, and right now they can't do that.

From my point of view, they cannot speak yet. We got a statement that wasn't really written for players. Cancelled events, promo material archived on YouTube but not deleted, content still out there. Why do you think they trimmed sensitive content from cards and made other changes? They are putting out fires. Are they handling it well? No, clearly not. But they are in survival mode, not conversation mode.

Didn't we say this was a marathon? I had hopes too, and I was disappointed too. But I will not attack Infold, and I'm asking you not to either. Think about the employees and developers who worked really hard for Valko.

Think about it: if we respond with hate, what do we prove? That this fandom reacts just like the ones who screamed the loudest. Our credibility goes in the trash, and bringing Valko back becomes even harder. No company can return a character in the middle of a storm. Things need to calm down before they can announce anything.

And the charity work we've done? That matters, and I'm sure they know it too. Real people and real animals are benefiting. Keep sharing those campaigns. That was our choice from the start: showing love instead of hate. Let's not forget it now, of all times.

Keep showing your love for Valko. Post about him. Update your App Store review with something like "I'm ready to come back when Valko returns." But from our side, only peace and patience (I know, I don't like it as well) . This will take weeks, probably months. And we will hate it. But patience is the strategy.

I'm not giving up. Valko will return.

Desde mi punto de vista, ellos no pueden hablar todavía. Tenemos un comunicado que en realidad no va dirigido a las jugadoras. Cancelación de eventos, promocionales archivados en YouTube pero no borrados, contenido que sigue allá afuera. ¿Por qué creen que retiraron contenido sensible de las cartas y otras modificaciones? Están apagando incendios. ¿Lo están haciendo de la mejor manera? No, claro que no. Pero están en modo supervivencia, no en modo conversación.

¿No dijimos que esto era un maratón? Yo también tuve esperanza y también me decepcioné. Pero no voy a atacar a Infold, y les pido que ustedes tampoco.

Porque piénsenlo: si respondemos con odio, ¿qué demostramos? Que este fandom reacciona igual que quienes gritaron más fuerte. Nuestra credibilidad se va a la basura, y traer a Valko de vuelta se vuelve todavía más difícil. Ninguna empresa puede regresar a un personaje en medio de una tormenta. Las cosas tienen que calmarse para que puedan dar cualquier anuncio.

¿Y las obras de caridad que hemos hecho? Eso sí importa, y estoy segura de que ellos también lo saben. Hay gente y animales reales beneficiándose. Sigan compartiéndolas. Eso fue lo que elegimos desde el inicio: mostrar amor en vez de odio. No lo olvidemos justo ahora.

Seguir mostrando interés por Valko está perfecto. Posteen. Actualicen su reseña en la App Store con un "estoy lista para volver cuando Valko regrese". Pero que de nuestro lado solo haya paz y paciencia. Esto va a tomar semanas, probablemente meses. Y lo vamos a odiar. Pero la paciencia es la estrategia.

Yo no me rindo. Valko regresará.
