Did you know that binning old and broken electrical items into the black bin is damaging the planet?
You can recycle electrical appliances, bulbs, and batteries at your local recycling centre.

An afternoon spent removing other peoples rubbish off our beautiful bogland in a week that also seen 2,500ltrs of waste engine oil also dumped on Emlagh, busy week for the EOBC and an amazing thank you to all the volunteers👏👏
@LeaveNoTraceIrl@meathcoco@AnTaisce
Oil drums and barrels dumped on Castletownmoor today.
We bagged up the leaking drums to prevent them seeping into the ground for collection.
Directly opposite the CCTV sign😡
Oristown locals John Sheppard, Thady McAleese, Robert McAleese and Simon McAleese with the rubbish collected by them from Emlagh Bog on Saturday morning, 3 April 2021. The haul included 150 + dumped tyres, two television sets, various household appliances and general waste.
Big thanks to the community in Oristown and Emlagh, for this massive haul, and thanks to Malachy and Danny from Panda and our own Wardens for making it happen.
