So this happened today. I can’t describe how bad the imposter syndrome has been and I 100% don’t think I deserved this, but tickets to that awards are like gold dust so i wasn’t giving it back. I needed to use my speech (filmed by the wonder woman @manori_r ) to highlight….
I Swear got released on Friday and what many people may not realise is, there are only 4 words of ADR in the whole film. I wrote a bit about the dialogue edit in case any soundies find it interesting (or not)
This beautiful film gets released today and I would encourage anyone who can, to please go watch it. It is without doubt my proudest dialogue editing credit to date. grateful to have worked alongside the brilliant sound team of Simon Hayes, Dan Johnson,Niv Adiri and Joe De-Vine
I’m really sick and tired of people trying to jump on the post production band wagon as “trainers” for various issues just to make money from a sector they have zero experience or working knowledge of
Shocking statement about how the journalists the world has been relying on for images and reports about what’s going on in Gaza are slowly dying of starvation @AFP 🧵
Our friends at @weareparable are recruiting for talented, passionate and creative individuals to join their award winning team.

I’m currently standing for election for the board of @wftv_uk an organisation that has played a big and meaningful role in helping my career. If you’re a member and think I would be a good fit, I would appreciate your vote, read my statement here https://t.co/NkqVjyZI31
Craft and tech roles, especially Post Production roles, are notoriously under represented in those rooms. We can’t enact change unless our voices are heard in those spaces. A seat at the table shouldn’t just be for a small executive minority
Throughout the next few months, elections will be happening across various membership organisations. If you are a member of any and have the chance to vote, please keep this in mind:
Question whether you are being represented by the current members of those boards and committees
Is there a voice on there for your department, job role or genre? If not, is there a candidate standing that does represent you. If there is, I would encourage you to consider voting for them, especially if they are from a craft and tech sector.
This week, Creative Diversity Network (CDN) released their latest Diamond report on diversity within the industry. I won’t be sharing it because unfortunately the data in the report is still massively flawed when it comes to post production.
He’s created a truly brilliant film about a fascinating man, Irvine Welsh. This is some of Paul’s best work and I really hope this, along with Tish, makes the industry wake up and see how talented a director he is and book him on everything possible!
This is definitely a bit of a career highlight. It’s been great fun providing all the post production sound work on this film and it’s now premiering at Edinburgh International Film Festival as the closing film. But more importantly I am so massively proud of my mate Paul Sng

Yes, let’s waste money on an e-learning series (that is aimed at everyone BUT post production professionals) instead of investing in proper training and support for post talent while so many people are out of work. that makes sense
'@UKScreenSkills has launched a #free#elearning series called Post production Explained, which provides an overview of the technical processes in film and television #postproduction.

Anyone else find the term “below the line” highly offensive when used about their job title?
It always felt to me like it belittled and undervalued our contribution to the TV and Film industry.
Maybe it’s just me though….
With Screen Skills releasing a report today,it’s important people are aware of what the government Culture,Media and Sport Committee had to say about the organisation (screen grabs attached from their report) When it comes to Post Production we have repeatedly been failed by them
