@bushontheradio having grown up til that point in the forces, I was already scared of the IRA, then at the age of 11 in the mid 80s came all the nuclear attacks stuff. Adverts on tv, films in school, I was terrified. Then in school, age 12/13 we watched Threads. 😲😲😲😲

@bushontheradio today I have seen 2, not even 1 but 2 men walking along with black trousers, a hoodie with the hood hanging on the outside of their raincoat and onto their backpack. I wanted to shout out “nutter” or something more rude at them.

@bushontheradio Also, saw GnR at Milton Keynes Bowl, ‘93ish. 2nd row, Mr Brownstone to start, everyone pushed forward, we were too squashed. Took us about 4 songs to get to safety at which point, my army Parker, tartan shirt, white vest all ripped off and I was stood in my bra, jeans &DMs.

@bushontheradio I went to a Bon Jovi concert back in 1994. Everyone jumping, a guy elbowed me in the head, I thought I was a gonner, stars, blackness, then another guy picked me up and saved my life. Well it felt like it.

@VirginRadioUK are playing the top 500 we voted for. It has been fab so far but gutted Pure, Dignity and the Zephyr Song have been on already and we’re only down to the 430s. Rooting for One, Cover from the Sky, Cry to Me and Don’t Give Up but not very optimistic.
