In his victory speech he praised his fellow candidates for a 'clean politics' campaign without 'tearing chunks out of each other' and said he would continue to work with them in their respective roles at the Combined Authority and the Fire Service.

We are just waiting for the results from Cambridge and Peterborough. Currently Darryl Preston is in the lead - but the 2 cities are more inclined to vote Labour or Liberal Democrat so it could all change
